Liking this set's representation of some of the less known Avengers (at least to those that got into Marvel through the MCU). After a bit of reviewing and a playtest, this guy plays a bit better than I thought. That traited Force Blast helps keep figures away from him, circumventing his lower range for a mainly ranged figure. Of course he has to hit that attack to be safe, so you have to play smart to not put him in a bad position. All in all, nice take on an avenger that needed a remake. // Thematic: 8.5/10, Viability: 8/10, Fun Factor: 8/10, leans towards home-fun.
Finally! I have been waiting for him for almost 10 years! I am not mad at this version, just a little disappointed. I think he is playable in a casual setting but the comic book character Blue Marvel is way more powerful than this guy represents. Power Cosmic, traited Pulse Wave, HSS, decent defense powers, STOP clicks, decent combat values overall, he is not bad. My biggest gripe is that he does not do enough damage. I am also not sure why he only gets Super Senses on his defense late dial. I appreciate the low point cost option this one gives and I will enjoy playing him. I was just hoping to finally get a great version of him like the Hulk and the Sentry from this set. Anyway, I am happy they finally remade him and I can get rid of the AOU version.

I love Heroclix, it's my favorite hobby since 2002.
I feel like he's powerful enough to at least warrant play at the local competitive level tho. The part of the trait that says "When Blue Marvel is targeted by a range attack, after resolutions heal him one click and remove an action token from him" makes him very dangerous to deal with at a range, because you may end up hitting that stop click twice a turn and unable to get past it, and then he loses an action token so he can immediately regenerate next turn. You *have* to get close to him in a meta that really likes strong ranged pieces. And then he can hit you and knock you back to do it all again. I'm looking forward to see if he can earn his points.
This guy is the power rare. He opens very strong and even if he takes a hit that stop click catches you. The heal and token off of just being ranged targeted is ridiculously good. Pulled him and rare prime Swordsman and they took everyone apart. Including a Gorr the God Butcher, Ghost Rider, and Iron Hammer.
TioVaselina, to answer your question we'll focus on this line from Pulse Wave: "Other characters within range can’t use powers or abilities (for this action)." Traits are considered an ability, and since the opposing player would resolve their Pulse Wave before your trait would be usable again, I believe you wouldn't be able to use it's effects.
