Ok, now I'm really confused w/ the Wildcard team abilities. I understand the whole "copying" team abilities bit, but I don't quite get when you can copy and how many times you can copy. My understanding is that you can copy a different team ability per action, even during your opponent's actions? So say its your opponent's turn, and say he does a move action to get closer to you, you can say whichever team ability you can copy after his/her action? If so, when your opponent attacks you, can you declare another team ability right when he attacks you (which is mid-action to me) or must it be done before the attack? I always thought you can only use the Wildcard ability on your turn only, not on your opponents turn. If you can keep switching team abilities on every turn (yours and opponents), that's pretty powerful if you play it right. Help please!
You can copy once per action. Any action.
That means your WC can copy a free move (JLA) and taxi (if they fly) someone out for free. Let's say you're playing DC with all teams, Legion is the WC.
Use JLA Flash (HSS is nice) and the Legion taxi can move free.
Have them taxi Doomsday, and switch WCard to Superman Enemy (w/Doomsday). Now Doom has Outwit.
If someone declares a range attack on the Legion, use Batman team.
If your Doomsday is hurt but needs an attack and your Legion has a good AV, declare Batman Enemy.
If your Legion is based and going to get punched, declare Mystic.
Making a ranged attack with your fare? Go Police.
Bring up Changeling and toss some Titans healings about. Or Hawk and Dove for the activation click.
So you can switch at any action. Any action at all, every single action you or your enemy makes you can be a new team. Just need to have other chars of the team to copy of course.
If I have only 2 figs left...let's say Mystique and Spiral.
Spiral copies the Brotherhood TA. Mystique gets killed....will Spiral keep the TA, or does she lose it because all TAs she could copy are gone now?
Please lmk,
Dr.Morbius

The question is rather...how long does the copied TA remain?
Because I can copy a TA currently in my team...and end of turn the character where I copied from dies...now is the copied TA still active??? Or does it "die" with the other character?

It dies with the character, after the current action resolves.
That means the wild card still benefits from F4, X-men/Titans, or Mystics if the situation is appropriate, but the effect does not carry over into the next action.
Example #1: Your wild card is copying the F4 ability; your opponent kills your last natural F4 member; your wild card gains the click of healing first, then loses the F4 ability.
Example #2: Your wild card is copying the Mystics ability; your opponent targets both the wild card and the Mystic (with PW, EE, or a multiple target attack); the attack kills your last natural Mystic and wounds the wild card; both your figures deliver their Mystic damage; your wild card figure then loses the Mystic ability.
Example #3: Your wild card is copying the JLA ability; you push your last JLA to death; your wild card loses the JLA ability and can't use it in their action
In other words, the wild card can copy any team ability in play at the beginning of the action, and that effect remains until the entire action resolves and you move on to a new action (or turn). Hope this helps.
So just to be sure, like what Transfotaku stated, if someone attacked my Legion member, and I have a Bats TA member also on my team, right when my opponent range attacks me, I can say I have Bats TA (and as long as I'm in hindering) and he can't make the shot? And so, my opponent then decides to attack by using his "charge" figure, so he charges up, comes up to attack, and then I can say Mystics TA (as long as I have one) and my opponent would be affected by Mystics TA if damage dealt to my fig? If so ... wow! So every action he takes, I can change TAs, and on every action I take, even if its not the Legion figure, the Legion can change TAs? Sorry to sound like a broken record ... seems to good to be true!
ok, i gotta kinda complicated question. i was playing at a tourney last sat. and it was 1000 pts. vets, uniques only. my team has catwoman u for stealth, archangel for x, sabretooth for brotherhood, and doom and spiral for minions. just to name the important ones. Anyways, i end up playing against a team with sentinel and sinestro in it. on one of the last turns of the game, my opponent takes out my archangel. now i was planning on using him to take out sentinel for 2X the points. then someone tells me that both x men and brotherhood are both archenemies of sentinel. so i still have hope right? and the next part im not so clear on but this is how i played it out. all of my brotherhood figs are out of range of the stinkin sentinel, so i cant kill him with them, but instead i used my v dr. doom to copy the brotherhood TA and take sentinel out, thus getting double the points. which it was considered a vet. 300x2=a whopping 600 points. i already had enough points to beat the other guy plus i got 600 more. well, after the tournament is over someone says u cant copy brotherhood to take out sentinel for the 2x points. but i thought that if u are going to copy a TA that would essentially mean that u would become part of that team. meaning that by copying brotherhood, dr doom was himself brotherhood, for the time being. im so confused, but i thought what i did was legal. please reply back. thanks.

Indy (or Marvel or DC) specific FAQs:
BPRD (or Legion/MoD/Spderman Allies):
• When using another team’s ability, a “wild card” team member is considered part of that team for team ability purposes only; for everything else, it is a member of the team printed on its base.
In other words, you do not gain the AE bonus for copying a TA.
It sounds right on to me kukalaka. The Wildcard ability is indeed great. The only problem comes in the fact that there are -few- Wildcards that are worth the points.
In DC, we only get the Legion. After Unleashed, that's 5 figs. None are powerhouses on their own. They make great 'support' but none strike me as, "Holy ####, kill it before he destroys the army!" power.
In Marvel, we get a few great WCs. E Black Cat done right can PC to the end, while supplying Hydra or Shield or healing (Xmen) or so on as needed. Sandman seems to be killer in high points with a wildcard support team. Base him with the most powerful thing your enemy has, and just let him work his magic. Spidey has a few good WC abils but nothing amazing IMO.
But...the Minions of Doom! Holy #### can those badbutts do some serious ownage with a few good support pieces. Annihilus, Doom, Ultron, Spiral, Taskmaster...need anyone else? Slap a few team figs for Doom and Annihilus and do Running Shot all over the field with little worry of retaliation. TK up Spiral for Fury-BCF, then have a Skrull to try to keep the WCs from getting hit. Or Bats. or Mystics.
WCs in Open mode in high points just rule, IMO. 1000 point Open is WC heaven.
