i know what the pac says about exploit weakness but my question is do i still get to roll for impervious so the attack doesnt even hit. yeh i know if they hit theres no -2 to the damage
actually the pac says that the attack can miss completely
IMPERVIOUS This character reduces damage delivered to him or her.
(Optional) When this character is the target of a successful attack (either
close or ranged combat), roll 1 six-sided die. On a roll of 5 or 6, the attack
misses completely and the character takes no damage. On a roll of 1 to 4,
the attack hits, but reduce the damage by 2.
in the faq and the indy rules they changed impervious to reduce damage to 0 if rolled a 5 or 6, not missing attacks.
So ignore the faq, since the indy rules are official now.
Owen: Luke, take these two over to the garage will you, I want them cleaned up before dinner.
Luke (Most whiny voice ever): But I was going into Tosche Station to pick up some power converters.
I think you may be working with the old DC PAC which does say the attack misses on a 5 or 6.
I believe the wording was changed with the Indy PAC to say that on a roll of 1-4 the damage is reduced by 2 and on a roll of 5 or 6 the attack does no damage.
And they reworded it specifically to avoid situations like this and to differentiate Impervious from Super Senses.
EW states that damage from an attack using that power cannot be reduced. It does not cancel or ignore any powers. Thus, you can still effectively use SS or MM, or any other power that does not reduce damage.
