Changing Forms FREE: Choose one of the following options. These effects last until you choose again.
- Attack value becomes 12, damage value +1, and Precision Strike.
- Defense value becomes 19, Impervious, and Defend.
The Earth's Last White Event: On your first turn, before taking any costed actions, you may choose a square on the map. Destroy all Terrain Markers and Blocking Terrain within 2 squares of the chosen square.
There's Always a Star Brand: When Starbrand is KO'd, choose another friendly character with a lower point value. That character modifies its combat values by +1 this game, can use Telekinesis and Pulse Wave, and can use the Cosmic Energy Ability.
Planetary Defense System: Ranged Combat Expert, Super Senses.
What If I Don't Want To?: Penetrating/Psychic Blast, Energy Shield/Deflection, Telekinesis. If Starband has no action Tokens, he can use Telekinesis as FREE.
(Damage) Power to Break a Planet: Energy Explosion, Pulse Wave, Improved Targeting: Destroys Blocking Terrain, Improved Targeting: Ignores Characters. When Starbrand hits with a ranged attack, destroy all Blocking Terrain and Terrain Markers within 2 squares of a hit character.
I was hoping I'd be able to round out my "Hickman Era Avengers with weird dials" theme. At first I thought I wouldn't be able to work the third week, but then I remembered one of them had a Prime, so it's all good. I've been thinking about these guys ever since the Legacy Cards started coming out, as I really wanted to see what could be done with these unusual dials.

(Special) Embracing the gimmick: Green Arrow can equip 6 Trick Arrows instead of 3.
(Attack) Emerald Archer: Precision Strike, Improved Targeting: Hindering, Characters. Increase his attack by 2 if he is equipped with Trick Arrows.
(Defense) Arrow Down the (Wizkids Approved) Knife Barrel: Energy Shield Deflection. When Green Arrow is the target of a ranged attack, Green Arrow can use Shape Change. If he has Trick Arrows equipped he can remove on to add 2 to his finalized roll.
(Damage) Hail of Arrows: Range Combat Expert. When Green Arrow makes a ranged attack targeting more then one opposing character, he can use a different Trick Arrow on each hit character.
OK, let me just say...to this very day...Crisis had the best Sculpts and best dials (for their time). This was my go to Arrow for the longest time and as time went on his stats and points got worse and worse...but the sculpt is still great, and I loved what they tried to do with the dial at the time. So I tried to recopy that with an added bonus...much like setting a Flaming Moe on Fire, Trick Arrows make him good...No offense to Hawkeye but when I think of Trick Arrows I immediately think Ollie and the boxing glove and glue arrows, so I leaned into it heavy. He can use double the amount of arrows, they add to his shape change rolls, and near the end of the dial he can throw whats left at whoever is still standing...

Technically It Was My Color First: RANGE: Make two range attacks. // When Green Lantern and Green Arrow are KO’d, before removing them from the map you may generate a character named Green Lantern or Hal Jordan and/or a character named Green Arrow with an equal or lower combined point value on their starting lines. This game when those characters would be KO’d remove them from the game without scoring them instead. Protected: Pulse Wave You Take The High Road And I’ll Take The Low Road: [Justice League], [Green Lantern Corps]. Targeting: 00>, Range Combat Expert. Adjacent friendly characters can use Energy Shield/Deflection and Super Senses. And I’ll Be On Oa Before Ya: Super Senses. When they use it roll 2d6 and choose one as the result. Protected: Outwit The Afterlife Was Peaceful: Willpower. When they use it successfully heal 2 clicks. For One Of Us At Least: Barrier. If they’ve made an attack that missed all targets this turn Barrier as FREE. // At the beginning of your turn KNOCKBACK each adjacent opposing character 2 squares.
My theme is ‘DC Team Up 80 Page Giant (Still only 25˘)’
*I didn’t shave as much off their cost as usual because choices to split into in Modern are slim. To justify that point value the Greens you bring in come in at full strength. Decided to take advantage of the peanut base extra adjacency and Defend with an added perk since you are likely going to min max the rest of the team around it. Tentpole Lantern is a very old school play style that hasn’t been relevant in quite some time. Translucent John Stewart and Unleashed Hal Jordan were staples back in the day. And now I feel old…
PS - For those that haven’t played in a while peanut bases cannot be placed diagonally anymore. And if you’re new to the game B&B is the Dooneese of HeroClix sets.
