I find blogging in itself interesting. I don't know if this will get attention or not. If you do notice it, and you wonder about something that I do as the RA, I'd be happy to talk about it. For the most part, everything I do is public info and there are a few things that aren't, but I'll just say "NDA applies" to those topics. So lemme know what you want to hear about.

In the last week I've gotten more than a few messages asking me where the heck I've been lately. The answer has nothing to do with Heroclix or its lack of officialness. Truth is, if WizKids were still around or Heroclix had been picked up, I'd have stepped down from the RA position (temporarily, if possible) because of some real life goings-on.
As many of you know I started working for the federal government just over 2 years ago. I'm a IT Specialist and I've got a pretty good knack for analysis, requirements gathering, and system design. I even program those designs when the opportunity lets me.
About 3 months ago, a call went out for a volunteer. My agency needed someone with just my skills to help out with a project overseas. And by "overseas", they're talking Iraq/Afghanistan. Whether it was 9-11 or the decades I spent reading patriotic themed comics like Superman, I felt a calling to this, especially since it was so on-target for my skill set.
The selection process was a bit longer than I had expected, but in the end, I was selected and in mid-August I'll be shipping out. The past few weeks have seen me filling out paperwork and seeing doctors and doing tons of things that one ought to do to "be prepared" that I hadn't even thought of during 17 years of marriage. As busy as that was, the next few weeks look even busier.
From a Heroclix standpoint, I know all the same things you guys do. It is my most fervent wish that Heroclix comes back with a corporate sponsor. Topps would be fine with me, but then again, as long as it meant new product coming out, I'd be fine with Nabisco owning the product (can't you see it - Keebler elves as an edible expansion!) I especially want to see HoT hit the shelves as it was one of those releases that the WK folks called me about a lot in terms of crossing Ts and dotting Is for special powers, feats, etc. It would be a very exciting set to have out. If it comes out while I'm gone, odds are I won't have that much internet access to be able to respond to questions, especially those related to "intent". Just please know my abscence has nothing to do with 'clix and everything to do with serving my country. I will be back and I'll be happy to argue all the fine points with any/everyone.
I'll be in touch with folks as often as I'm able. For the next 4 weeks, at the very least, I should be as responsive as ever by email. PM replies may be delayed. After that, I don't really know. I'm told there will be internet available, but I'm also told that only about half of what I'm told is accurate. Think about that last sentence long enough and your head will hurt.
Keep on Clixin!!!!
