The Return of HeroClix

It's been quite some time since HeroClix officially returned, and we are on the verge of yes another set (Superman) and other supporting 'Clix product. We've come a long way from the days of the hiatus and the uncertain future of HeroClix. For almost 2 years, we were all in limbo. As the owner of HCRealms.com, I was wondering of what would come of the site ... and what I would do next? Of course, we all knew that while the site traffic slowed down a bit, the community itself remain strong, and we all kept on playing.

A lot has changed since then. We have HeroClix Online now; which despite the pricing model, has allowed me to squeeze in a few more games than I normally would have (well, until I formatted my computer and installed Linux ... thereby removing my ability to play until I set another Windows box up).

So while I've gone through a lot of ups and downs ... from the very first days of HeroClix, I finally feel that HeroClix is here to stay. The strategies, while not perfect, are good enough to sustain the product for a while, and as the economy bounces back, the players under economic duress will return. Now let's hope we're able to get some new blood into the game ... because I haven't seen a whole lot of kids playing.
