William Anderson was a normal guy, who played a certain superhero-based miniatures game. However, while returning home from his FLGS one night, Anderson was ambushed by a mysterious man with a canister of gas...or perhaps a mist. Whatever it was, it knocked Anderson out, and when he woke up, he found out about his new powers of phasing...by finding his legs on one half of a wall and his torso on the other half. Needless to say, waking up halfway through a wall does not do wonders for one's mind. Tinkering with his powers at home, Anderson found out what their limits were, designed a costume, and started working nights to ruthlessly rid his city of crime...then he was found by Loki...

The Blue Krait is not a world-famous assassin.
In his mind, that's a good thing. To him, if you're world-famous, you're doing your job wrong. An assassin should never be seen or heard, unless it is absolutely necessary in order to eliminate the mark. To that end, the Krait always does business through lackeys, and never reveals himself to the employer. The employer never seeks him out; rather, the Krait seeks the employer out, having heard of the employer's need through the Krait's network of spies. Finally, to facilitate stealth on the job, the Krait wears a stolen PymTech prototype battle suit, enabling him to carry out assassinations without ever appearing to be more than a fly.
No one knows who he is, or where he came from. He never speaks and he doesn't move without a purpose. He is not a hero or a villain, but he could be either for the right price. He is simply a killer.

Danny Jones was a teenage kid living in NY, like so many other future mutants. He was a smart kid, leading him to be labeled a 'massive nerd', and as such, he was pushed around and afforded little respect by the other students at his high school. To withdraw from the torment and provide wish fulfilment, he created a persona in his head, based around some of his parents' old philosophy books: those of Friedrich Nietzche. This persona was an idealized hero, who could ruthlessly defeat those who would cause harm to Danny.
When Danny developed telepathic powers, including the ability to create mental constructs, the persona came to life as almost a seperate consciousness. Calling itself the Ubermensch, it developed a superiority complex, believing itself and Danny to be the ultimate beings in the world. It first manifested as a psychic construct which destroyed Danny's house, killing his parents and proclaiming that the two of them were now free to rule the lesser beings. Through his rage, Danny managed to get a leash on the Ubermensch, making it do his bidding.
Then the Sentinels came...
