Agreed 100%. They are not asset dials they are program dials. Program dials cannot be out witted because the powers are used, not possessed. The single d6 roll is non optional.
Think of the Program dials as similar to the Bug and its extra dials. It just allows you to use the powers showing up on the dial. It is not a Resource or Asset dial since nothing tells you they are.
When I came on board as RA I brought with me a mission to meet the intent of a power/ability and a firm distaste for exploits or loopholes that circumvented the intention of a rule. That's where the Rules team comes in.

The Program dials are their own thing. They are not Resources. They are not Asset dials. They are Program dials.
The powers are given via the language, "can use", which is extremely standard in this game and has, for years, meant the powers are NOT actually possessed nor conceptually 'on the dial', and therefore cannot be Outwitted.
Seems to me like Sentinels might FINALLY be worth their points! Only took 7 colossals to do it...
So are the Sentinel cards misprinted? When your using the Sentinel in Attack Mode, you use the Attack Program Dial that's on the Defense Mode's extra clicks, however the combat symbols on the card for the special powers of the Attack Program Dial (Secondary Threat Analysis, Inertial Retaliation Field and Threat Engagement Package) don't match up with the ones printed on the Attack Program Dial where these powers appear. The Attack Program Dial's card uses the combat symbols of the Attack Mode Sentinel and the Defense Mode uses this method as well.
OR was the intention to just ignore the combat symbols printed on the bases of the ones being used as Program Dials?

By Printing those symbols on the card of the character that did not have those symbols would leave player's to thinking that they could use those combat abilities. So it was better to not have them printed on the card of that character.

It was confusing for a second when I first opened them, then I just thought about it for a minute and figured it out.
