So I have been playing against the DOFP Alpha Class Sentinel and I need ruling for its Program Dials. Are the Program Dials considered to be resources or asset dials? People have been playing then with resources and they get really really good for the points, and if not resources are they asset dials cause if so can you OUTWIT them?
Well, I can't find anything on asset dials in the rulebook or PG. Can things on asset dials normally be Outwitted?
I'm not sure what the program dials are classified as. I'd say they are definitely not resources.

Abilities from Asset dials can be Outwitted, there's a line to this effect in the Asset Dial section on the back of the cards for team bases.
Waller KOs: AA Robin, Kid Devil, Joker, Question; AW E Cap; FCBD Iron Man; Miracle/Oberon; John Stewart x2, Iron Patriot; Shatterstar; IH Herc; CW Photon & Nitro; FF Nite Owl; 10An R Thor, E Iron Man, Weapon X; FF Kilowog; Hugo Strange; Calender Man; Legion Cosmic Boy & Lightning Lad, LE Pete Wisdom

Does it say on the card that they're considered one of those things? If not, then it's not one of those. It's just another dial, just like the Fear dial on the Serpent isn't a resource or an asset dial.

I feel like the fear dial is different, it doesn't have any powers or abilities, I just want to know if it's outwittable, I'm gonna try to message a RA

It is different in that regard; I was just making the point that "asset dial" is a particular term that only applies to things that say they are asset dials.

No. The powers granted by the program dial cannot be countered. The dial only grans usage of the power not possession.

PROGRAMMED TO HUNT:#Alpha Class Sentinel (Attack Mode) can't be healed. At the beginning of your turn, roll a d6 and turn DOFP #G002 Alpha Class Sentinel (Attack Program Dial) to the blue click number matching the result. Alpha Class Sentinel (Attack Mode) can use the powers indicated and when a standard power on that dial has a black border, instead, Alpha Class Sentinel (Attack Mode) modifies its attack value by +1 when targeting a character that can use that power.
In the post above mine, it shows that you turn the asset dial at the beginning of your turn. And then when you switch from offense to defense it says "when you do, roll a D6 and turn this dial to the blue click number matching the result.
Therefore If you free action switch at the beginning of your turn, you can roll twice. Are these rolls mandatory? Becuase it's a waste of a roll otherwise. And I'd like the option to have a second roll if I didn't like the first one.

It doesn't say you MAY, so it is indeed mandatory.

I would say you have to. If it doesn't say may then you have to do it.
