In the wake of Secret Wars (sort of, as it's still going but they launched the new series anyways), there are multiple teams using the Avengers monicker. You've got the human/Mutant/Inhuman Unity Squad over in Uncanny Avengers. You've got the young upstarts of AIM in New Avengers. The ladies over in A-Force. We've also got a cosmic team in the Ultimates, which was an alternate universe's name for the Avengers. But we don't have a main team of Earth's mightiest. At least we didn't until writer Mark Waid and artist Adam Kubert rolled out a powerhouse lineup of familiar names with new faces! This is our team:

Why these figures - A majority of this team are characters that have been clixed for the first time. Like Miles Morales, Kamala Khan, Jane Foster as Thor and Sam Wilson as Captain America. This left Nova, Vision and Iron man to be selected based on point values to get this into a manageable level. Which works since we got this to 700 points exactly.

Tips for running this team - Your big three of Cap, Thor and IM are going to have a strong ranged attacks going from the get go (Vision too). Use Falcon's pigeons and Redwing to initially run interference between your heavy hitters and your opponents. Then use all the new kids of Ms. Marvel, Spider-Man and Nova to move in and get up close and personal with the opposition once the birds are all KO'd.

Love the new Lineup. If only every vision under the sun wasn't terrible.

Agreed. However I like the 150 IM3 one a lot for this team.

Nice lineup, though I'd swap out that Iron Man. I don't own half the figures, so I won't be able to try it out until they drop significantly in price...

I'd be half tempted to run the lower point AVA one... yes, you lose out on the perplex and outwit, but... eh.

It looks like fun from a kitchen table standpoint. I don't think this would be effective at all if anyone was being serious.

But why would one be serious, it's a GAME about SUPER-HEROES.

I ran this version of the new Avengers team and it worked pretty well.

The main thing with this team is using the Defend that Iron Man has (and grants to Captain Amercia) well. Thor, Nova, Spider-Man and Ms. Marvel don't start with 18 defense so using defend will really help them. Add either the Millennium Necklace or Millennium Eye for Prob or outwit.

Tiny, plastic Superheroes...... And dice.......

falcon cap/nova/ms marvel are pretty nice at least. (though im partial to the exploding nova he's not a great fit with all the tokens and no TK.)

for a vision that pulls his weight at all you need to go back a few years.



Ms Marvel shines with the new giant reach rules, as if she wasnt already incredible for the points. definitely one of the best pieces released in 2015.

oh and i really, really wish they would just errata the keyword on so this was a theme team. i know they don't do that but still.
