Agreed that Grinner is often default quiet lynch target.
Consider:
A townie that is not hunting for scum will likely make it to endgame.
A townie that is not hunting for scum and is in a lynch or lose scenario has a higher chance of being wrong about who they think is bad.
A townie that is not hunting for scum and is in a lynch or lose scenario is more likely to be mislynched.
We rarely lynch Grinner for being actually suspicious but often lynch him for being quiet and (perhaps just on the surface) unhelpful. That is, a scum Grinner is more likely to fool you in a lynch or lose situation.
Much of this applies to JM, DB and Link. Less so the last two for naturally suspicious meta.
Destructo was asked to provide content and talked about his meta.
Link and JM were asked to provide content and they have not shown up.
Grinner was asked to provide content and refused.
Who is most town, Grizzz? Name three players who are not you.
I'm not saying mislynching Grinner day 2 is bad, I'm saying that spending the majority of the day sifting votes on and off a player that is extremely unlikely to give any immediate info for the town is not productive and lets scum talk in circles instead of having to comment on actual content.
Nobody seems overly town to me at the moment. Skullbrother has seemed to me the most scummy simply because he seems most guilty of the aforementioned talking in circles.
The fact that he also hasn't dropped a vote on Grinner makes me slightly more ok with following through with the current lynch.
I'm seeing townie gfish and townie JoH in this thread. Also feel good about TSP and pretty good about Roy (although his response to DBoy's claim bothers me). Nifty aight too.
DBoy I think is probably town but he just comes across as so scummy I can't help but view him with suspicion. As a rule I'm really not a fan of "I can't help town" or "I'm definitely gonna be killed you guys" posts.
Grinner train seems premature. He's an analysis player who was asked to give reads like a third of the way through day 2, when there wasn't really any activity day 1. *shrug*
Not a huge fan of anybody trying to sell the Freddy bit. That's why I first voted TSP, and I don't like that adamical brought it back up. I think somebody else might've as well? It's not a lynchable offense by itself but I'm keeping an eye on those players.
Don't like grizzz from his "I don't like this train but I guess I'll join it anyway" post. Smells like scum distancing from a townie lynch.
Quiet players are quiet, and I wish they would be less so, but none of them are acting particularly out of character, either.
Don't like the "Who would've killed Anathae" thing that much either tbh. Seems like a very meta WIFOM, based on a player we don't have a good meta read on since they only play Hybridity and we haven't had one the better part of a year. I'd be more amenable if the N1 kill was somebody like Silver or a Grinnerkin.

Feel like I should elaborate on this before it's taken the wrong way. These posts specifically:

Strike me as someone trying to spin the discussion towards useless meandering. Continual assertion that Afrcngy's post garners attention, including an unnecessary additional vote, then trying to jumpstart a conversation on a very slim possibility.
Gfish has had some odd posting too, but I'm chalking that up to roleplay.
I don't think he's the most suspicious, but I think lynching him gives us plenty of information, I also think he's more likely to defend himself than adamical.
What info do you feel out would give us?
Also to be clear I do strongly encourage Grinner to make some reads/analysis, especially given the extra day.

Depends on who's on the lynch and who's not and how he flips. I think voting patterns are extremely important. So much can be gained by them.
I voted for Grinner because he was the most likely suspect (at the time) to give any information as well as being the most likely one to actually get a lynch.
It's callous, but you don't get to be my age without making hard choices.
