"Also, if you have the LE Kraven the Spider, he fits perfectly on to this team instead of R Azrael."
I was wondering why you'd leave KTS on the bench...! He easily fits on so many teams, & is just so great for his cost. Did you shelve him 'cause he too popular?
truthfully at the time I forgot he was on the list until the last minute...
I am in finals crunchtime mode :knockedou
brain overload = mistaken TAs
of course that will be over tommorrow so i can focus a bit more on the ol'article
I don't want to play a game of chess where dumb luck or money decides whether or not I get to use a rook... Collectibility is a necessary evil of Heroclix, not a boon.
Warrior is what I was looking at for the coming week. I don't have all the figures, as I am mainly concerned with getting characters I like, and everything else is secondary, but I wanted, and was fortunate enough to get, both War Skrull and the Silver Savage out of my Mutations and Monsters, and I have a few more that I either kept or haven't managed to trade yet that should allow me to build something decent. Looking at those two and Carter Hall right now, but I would really like to play Arkon, and this may be his big chance.
I am the regular judge at my venue, but I now have a back-up, and this was the week they wanted to judge, so I finally get to play a "home" game. I am also thinking about travelling to another venue to play the following day, so if it doesn't work out at my venue, I can make adjustments to my figures, cardboard, or strategy for the following day.
There is still no cure for bad die rolls.

V Hawkman + Zauriel + Shining Knight = 300pts of "Winged Warriors"
I haven't gotten to try this out myself yet, but I'll get around to it eventually.
I really like all those figures (I'm a recent Shining Knight convert after her great showing this week).
The only problem is going to be the almost entire lack of range. I find that Hawkman without TK, high Def JSA or some good ranged support gets taken out pretty quickly.
Please let us know how it goes if you play it! I really dig me some winged warriors.
"Come on Hulk! Where's the old boasting? The battle cries? Why aren't you bellowing about how you're 'the strongest one there is'? Could it be because... you know it's not true?"
"No. Because it's just too obvious."
-Juggernaut to Hulk
GL is your transporter for this group... he can carry both of the other two at the same time, get them into base contact, perhaps even base a mob himself, or stay back relatively safe and shoot/charge.
Unfortunately, no room for feats here, but BFCs (for Floor on the Arena map) could be Deep Shadows, Malice (of course)... I personally like the idea of using Atlantis Rising, since GL flies and carries your troops so it wouldn't hamper movement much.
There are a few other armies I like more, so I won't be running this, but if someone else wants to try it out and report how it works, feel free.
