theres only one good way to do a "bringing someone back to life story". Farscape fans will remember at the end of the second season that Erin died, and at the start of the third she came back to life, but it cost another main character, Zahn, her life. But even that kind of storyline can't be done that often.
Theres only one Return, and it ain't of the King, its of the Jedi.
Its done Hadez and I wasn't flaming just speaking my mind but I will pick it up tomorrow and thanks. I Destroyed my left foot 2 weeks ago and before that happpened I had 3 weeks worth of Bronchitis so I haven't been out in almost 2 months except for medical reasons so Im sorry if this is the first time I have heard of this series. Just respect my knowledge of the charcter. But thanks for the heads up. Oh and up north in Canada its probably more like $5 bucks.

Well thats comfirting because with all the #### thats been happening to me lately it will be good to read a brand new Thanos series. I aslo saw a Div X of the Hulk movie 3 days ago and I ac tually had a tear come from my eye when I watched one of the worse comic movies I had seen in years. You see the Hulk is my second favorite charcter and the movie was so bad my psyche just couldn't take it. Well thanks for the heads up most appreciated from one Thanos fan to another the comics are as good as bought and I will forever support his cause.

Thanos is dead. Warlock and Thanos both said so themselves. Marvel: The End, according to Starlin, is in CONTINUITY. Thanos sacrificed himself so that the universe could be reborn.
The comic didn't say that Thanos wouldn't be remembered, it said that the whole "The End" wouldn't be remembered by anyone but Warlock.
Warlock said "All who fell are once again whole. But the Titan was devilish in his reconstruction, devious to the end. Determined that none should ever think well of him. For what has transpired is remembered by none. No memory is there of the resurrected Pharaoh Akhenaten or anything that occurred after his spectacular debut. For in this newly minted reality such horrors never happened."
I think Starlin wanted to kill off Thanos so that nobody could use him again. I know that Starlin HATED the way Thanos was used in Ka-Zar and Thor. That is why he made up the Infinity Abyss, to clear up that those weren't actually Thanos but clones of him. Starlin added in that after Thanos saved the universe in The End, that characters that die can not be resurrected again (which means no Thanos). Thanos even said that the next time Warlock dies, that he too would stay dead.
With Thanos being my favorite character, there is nothing I hope for more than Thanos to return. But that would totally screw up what Marvel tried fixing with The End (characters dying only to be reborn two months later.)
About the Thanos regular series that Starlin is writing/drawing, does anybody have any concrete proof that this is actually happening? And if they do, any chances that is could be a series about Thanos in the past (a la Spider-Man: The Untold Tales, or X-Men: The Lost Years?) It would be pretty hard to tell a new series about Thanos after he supposedly sacrificed himself to save the Universe.
Along the topic of discussion, wasn't there supposed to a The End for Punisher as well? I haven't been able to pick up comics since January, but I thought there was a talk of a proper Punisher story of him killing everyone. If you can't tell, I am a Punisher fan, but would like to see this story done in a proper way. Any help?
walksthestorm, there was a Punisher kills the marvel universe comic. It changed his story to that his wife and kid were in teh middle of a battle between X-men and some other superheros, and the brood and skrulls, and his wife and kid got killed. So he devoted his life to killing all mutants. And so thats what he did, he hooke dup with some other anti-mutants (all of which hated mutants because they had been hurt by them) and blasted everyone. Get the trade if you can, I liked the story quite a bit.
Thanos has operated at the side of Mistress Death before. He could very well be dead, and still have a mini-series in continuity.
I disagree that all Thanos fans will like Marvel: The End. I don't find that he's been properly portrayed since the Thanos Quest. Hope all you self-proclaimed Thanos fans know what that is. The Infinity series got worse and worse as it went on. Marvel: The End was a tool. Thanos was at his greatest before he died the first time, Captain Marvel 26-33, Marvel Two-In-One Annual 2, Avengers Annual 7.
Oh, and to the X-fan who was proclaiming the golden age of Jemas, Marvel pissed everything that came in the past. They changed Doctor Doom's suit, they're changing Captain America's origin, they're "modernizing Dr. Strange's origin for post-Matrix readers" or so say Wizard, and MANGA MANGA MANGA. I don't even want to start with the 2nd mutation nonsense. If they change Mr. Sinister's costume, Marvel's gonna burn!

Thanos said:
"The Patterns will be set right...All shall be as it should be."
Don't you guys see? He left himself an out! He does recreate the universe, and there will be a version of himself in it. He leaves Adam's memory partially intact so he will have the only person he ever respected to talk to later. He fudges Adam's memory just enough, so he won't come to his usual deductions.
Thanos' version of the universe as it should be is with himself in it. He had to shed godhood because it was a dead End trap. Hence the setup for a new series. Will he work for good or evil? Who knows? But Thanos is back in business. Read those last four pages again, and you will see.
Sidebar: How can Thanos be improperly handled by his own creator? With the exception of a couple Ron Marz scripts, running from outlines by Starlin, all of Thanos' adventures have been by Starlin alone. That's like saying Sir Arthur Conan Doyle mishandled Sherlock Holmes.
