Ok, thanks. And those are just staple monsters in my opinion. Thats the only reason I used them. The worm and other cards like that are just handy sometimes, but I don't think I'm going to add them in.
What kind of tourney? In any event, keep all your stuff in a backpack and only let one person look through your stuff at a time. Getting stuff stolen from you is lame.
Good luck at the tourney, bone up on your rules knowledge ahead of time and have some fun!
I wish Five God Dragon was out in English. Dragon's Mirror + any five dead/ on the field dragons = 5000 attack monster that cannot be attacked by non-light monsters. It's l33t.
Advice? On deck building? I've already pitched in my two cents. I can give you advice on how to play it though.
Don't rush in with Horus every time. Be cautious with your big dragons. If you suspect Sak, don't swing with lvl 8. Keeping it in defense mode may be a good idea given the high prevalence of Mirror Force.
Also, on the care and feeding of Horus, don't level him past 6 against Burn/ Stall, especially if they have Level Limit- Area B on the field.
Sometimes it will pay to leave your Masked Dragons in Face-up attack mode. Nobleman of Crossout hurts.
Your deck lacks many good turn 1 plays but is very offensive. Maybe opting to go second could help you. Your deck has a highly reactive nature.
Don't hesitate to smack a Horus lvl four into an attack mode DD Lady. It's worth it.
Remember that Mirage Dragon doesn't stop Torrential Tribute. Don't over-extend too much as you don't have things like Morphing Jar to cover such large over-extensions.
Tyrant Dragon eats people's souls. It's big, it's got two very good effects and it's stronger than most every monster your opponent's will be playing. Use it well, but only after your opponent has used two copies of Sakuretsu Armor.
Since Tyrant Dragon is a relatively unknown card play quickly when you summon it and try to force your opponent to make mistakes.
Element Dragon is a good choice as well. Know what your opponent's are playing and how to screw with their strategy. The wind effect is the quickest way to gain card advantage.
Try to get your hands on a Pot of Avarice. That way you can recycle your big dragon.
As for your spell cards... Good job. Now practice using them. A Lot.
Looking at your trap suite I'd try to draw out opposing Mobii and Breakers with either Bottomless Trap Hole or bluff cards. Try to save sak for when you need it. Dust Tornado and MST are great bluffs.
Depending on your physical characteristics I'd reccommend either trying to intimidate people by being bigger and older (not too badley or you'll get yelled at; also, no bullying) or play up the newbie side and talk about how much you like dragons and such. Or if you've got it, wear a judge shirt. They scare players to no end simply because judges hand out match losses.
Maybe make up a monologue about how awesome Koitsu and Soitsu are? Something newb-like to make opponent's under-estimate you.
Then squish them with a big dragon.
Reccommended reading: Look up every one of the cards in your deck via
w w w . n e t r e p . n e t and check out their rulings. This is usually a good way to find out new things about old cards, like how Guardian Tryce interacts with an opponent's monster and other obscure facts of this game.
Okay....Before I get to my opinion of your deck, I do want to point out that your sig is somewhat wrong. Don't believe? Ask around.....or maybe, my opinion will possibly open you up a little bit...
First off, let me do an Advantage Scan of your deck.......after looking over it, your deck carries a -3 advantage total, which isn't good IMO.
Second, there are too many combinations involved and holding bits & pieces of a combo is never good. If you notice, in serious tourney play, the opponent isn't going to wait for you to get your "needed combination".
Third, regardless of the amount of power you throw in your deck, it won't matter if you can't regain control of the match and with a wide variety of card selection that is used, this deck would stand up to a Cookie Cutter deck early but its momentum would run out causing control of the game to slip out of your hands. This deck is strong but at the same time, its slow and tends to wait for "a certain card" to save it...
DROP
1 x Tyrant Dragon
2 x Element Dragon
2 x Masked Dragon
2 x Horus LV4
2 x Level Up!
1 x Swords of Revealing Light
1 x Stamping Destruction
1 x Dust Tornado
ADD
1 x Spear Dragon
1 x Luster Dragon
1 x Treeborn Frog
2 x Drillroid
1 x Magician of Faith
1 x Night Assailant
1 x Sangan
1 x Pot of Avarice
1 x Book of Moon
1 x Enemy Controller or Scapegoat
1 x Mirror Force
And now, the reason for removal.....
* High cost tribute monsters w/ no bonus to them are a thing of the past. Granted people still play Sak Armor but Tyrant Dragon gets pwned by Mirror Force, Widespread Ruin, and Bottomless Trap Hole.
* Element Dragon & Horus LV4 are feeder cards meaning that they need the support of other cards to get better.
*Masked Dragon is decent but with only 1 good monster to search for (Behemoth), it isn't necessary.
* Level Up requires a certain monster to use and it doesn't do too much good when you have that and a Mirage or Spear Dragon in hand which makes it a dead draw most of the time.
* Stamping is less of a dead draw but still requires combination.
* Due to heavy S/T removal, Swords won't sit on the field that long.
* Dust Tornado is good but more monster removal will be needed unless Burn Lockdown is the meta in your area....
Explanation for entrance....
* A 3rd copy of Spear & Luster Dragon keeps aggression in your deck so when 1 leaves, another will likely follow.
* Treeborn Frog is insane tribute fuel for you to whip out a LV6 the turn that you need to bring it out.
* Magician of Faith replaces herself with a Spell card and that could generate to an advantage at the right time.
* Night Assailant is multi-purpose: It can either take out a monster or replace itself with another Flip Effect card.
* Drillroid is just good right now with so many monsters being set. Its only downfall is that Flip Effects still go off but to run over Reapers and DD Assailant & Warrior Lady in defense is so worth it.
* Sangan is the best replacer card right now, look at it this way: You'll likely get off 1 or 2 direct attacks with it if your opponent has nothing and they would be either desperate or crazy to use a Sak Armor or Mirror Force on it by itself.
* Pot of Avarice is too good to pass up. If you get the LV8 early, you can ditch it from the hand and Pot will put it back with no problem. Plus, drawing 2 cards from your deck is a good thing right??
* Book of Moon works well by itself and can lead to a good setup for your Drillroid, Spear Dragon, etc. The same goes for Enemy Controller.
* Scapegoat works better than Swords by giving you 4 bodies on the field.
* Mirror Force, I shouldn't have to explain this card......
With the changes to the list, it's more about these two factors:
1) Control of the field
2) Access to resources
As a Dragon duelist of almost 3 years, Dragons thrive the best on the field. If the resources you have in your deck can either keep them on the field or get them out of the Grave to get back to the field, the deck becomes more effective. I wouldn't know this without learning that on my own. I wasn't given the name, "The Dragon Alchemist" because it sounds good....
Phenom...seriously...You think you have my deck figured out? You think I am some amature dragon duelist? Pity...Let me explain why the changes you made mostly suck.
1.I use masked dragon to search out Element dragon normally. And Element Dragon is powerful in my deck because most every creature in my deck is fire or wind. And I use Masked Dragon to get out a monster to tribute in hard situations.
2. Horus Lv.4 is food for Level up! which is a great card for first hand. I have, in many duels, been able to summon Horus lv.8 to the field on my second turn with Level up! and Lv.4.
3. I know how to use Tyrant Dragon effectively in duels. I have had plenty of practice with her. And It is my only 2 tribute monster if you hadn't noticed. So all that talk about high tribute cost...it doesn't matter with the stragety I use. It allows me to easily keep monsters on the field.
4. You can use SORL to flip an opponents monster to make sure your not falling into a trap before you set a monster to attack, or you can just flip it to hit it with a Smashing Ground if you don't have a Nobleman in your hand.
5. Dust Tornado really helps with cards such as Snatch Steal, Premature Burial, Swords, Call of the Haunted, and other cards like that. I don't just use it for removal like a newb.
6. Stamping Destruction...I shouldn't even need to explain it.
7. As for your add ins, the only ones I find to be "good" would be Luster, Spear, and Treeborn, Mirror Force, and Pot of Avarice. But I don't have any of these cards so those fixes are not going to happen any time soon.
Wow --- the only thing I can say is, phenom25 is completely right. I would just like to elaborate on one of his explainations regarding Scapegoat vs. Swords.
Swords is a -1, to you, and all it does is give your opponent three turns to think about how they are going to beat you. Oh and PLEASE play swords on my three facedown cards -- thanks I get to collect their flip effects AND keep them in defense mode?? Bonus!
Scapegoat on the other hand, is a +3, to you. Scapegoat requires a little more extra planning (don't set it if you have two creatures unless you know you are going to lose them both next turn and cannot afford to take any further damage). Scapegoat stops Reaper, Don, and big beatsticks from punching you in the face. Scapegoat has great synergy with the following commonly played cards: Metamorphosis, Enemy Controller, Creature Swap.
you should add 2 lord of d.'s 1 flute of the summoning dragon, 2 divine dragon ragnarok's and a polymerization.
p.s. add a King dragun
those r my thoughts.
l8r
Swords is a -1, to you,... Scapegoat on the other hand, is a +3, to you.
From that point of view scapegoat seems better. But what happens when your opponent already has 2-4 monsters out and your scapegoat tokens only last 1-2 turns? That's 1-2 turns less than Swords would have lasted.

True but those would take away from the +3 advantage of Scapegoat.
