I'm not gonna to read through all the comments, but I was wondering if there's been any errata on him being able to shoot through friendly characters while he is based.
@riddlemaker: there's no need for an errata, unless the character has the SHARPSHOOTER, colossal stamina, or a special power that says otherwise, it can not make range combat attacks while based by an opposing character. Even if they had the Sharpshooter ability they could only make range combat attacks against the opposing character it's based with.
Team him up with maybe ct043 Invisible Girl (37 points), and park them in hindering terrain. He'll have an 18 defense. Or better yet, use cd053 Umbra (56 points). She's a taxi, and can pop smoke every turn. A defending taxi with mobile hindering terrain! Include a cheap (no pun intended) Con artist and you can perplex up his defense even more.
Or pair him with cd022 Dr. Mid-Nite (24 points), with his full dial of both stealth and smoke, and three clicks of Support. Or a Batman Ally like Question (40 points), with smoke and outwit; or Robin (22 points).
my venue mainly does tournaments. about 5% of our play is casual, with the rest being tournaments. this means that 95% of the time, i do not have the luxury of choosing which teams to play against. must be nice. also, the new adam warlock is poop. you beat a bad piece with your good pieces. good job.
Sigh....everywhere I look there's stupid horse talking down on the infinity gauntlet limited edition game pieces.....you know, I think you haven't faced someone who is serious about playing with an elder or adam warlock. I really think if you faced a veteran player who has mastered the IG game peices then your eyes might open to their effectiveness. Any time any place STUPID horse. Any team, any venue.....Ummm...in america.
Maybe that's because the majority of them are all terrible when played by themselves. Any figure is good when supported, this is obvious; The only really good IG LE's, IMO are In-Betweener Runner, and possibly Grandmaster. That's about it...

That's about it eh? The collector can double incap two targets from 8 squares away dealing four action tokens per turn, has three clicks of impervious, two clicks of regeneration and built in probability control. The Gardener is perhaps the MOST cost effective IG figure available. He's an excellent stealth buster dealing damage to three targets in hindering (without lof) over 8 squares away. He can also create an INFINITE amount of hindering terrain every turn....the champions gimmick is his ability to deal MASSIVE amounts of damage. Even with impervious champion would still deal 8 damage reduced to 6. Dealing six damage to someone with reducers is a rare ability. If he has a fellow outwitter he's dealing 8damage per turn...I personally stomped through a 300 point x-men team with champion alone. Also did I fail to mention all previously mentioned figures have the power cosmic TA and additional powers granted via their gems. If those are terrible figures....then I don't know what a good figure is.
If the IG LE's are used as part of a larger force, then I'd agree, but again as far as low point games go, besides Runner, In-Betweener, and Grandmaster, In a competitive 300 point modern age game, I still hold that the other IG figs won't hold up so well.

Ok when you say it like that I can see your point....
