Good point. And still hard to play Kingdom Come...what the team would be Shazam alone? OK we'll leave it at 22 teams. After round 1 there will be 11 left. Any thoughts on how to reduce it to 10 teams?
My only thought is this: Take the 11 surviving teams. Count up the surviving members. Add the points up. (If total points were over or under 300 we add or subtract from that total surviving points). For example let's say Superman Enemy wins againat MOE. Let's say only Lexcorp Battlesuit is lost. So your total points are 301-1 (to get to 300) minus 51 for Lexcorp=249. The team with the lowest points will face off the team with the highest points in a special round with only one survivor (of course the team with lowest points would be at full 300 point strength, full team again).
Sounds like a good plan. In fact we should probably play 3 games like that to narrow it down to 8 rather than 10. That'll give us 4 winners of which we can play 2 games and the winner of those proceed to the final. Or we can do 10 and get 5 winners and play a special game to eliminate one of those then. Either way.
Hmmm.....you may have a good idea there but I'm not sure I understand it totally. We can figure it out when we've eliminated the first 11 (unless your suggestion effects that then we can decide now).
Okay, how's this: when we have 11 teams remaining, we play the game you propose to knock out the even number. Though instead of highest points vs. lowest points, it should be the two teams with the lowest points scored, if you ask me. Team scoring the highest points should be guaranteed a slot, not bumped out by the lowest point team thanks to a fluke of bad die rolls. It's like the wildcard games in football playoffs. The top 9 scorers all deserve to stay. The lowest two have to fight it out to get the right to move on. THat'll give us 10.
Then again, when the second round is done, we'll have an uneven number of teams left (5) so the two "worst" teams of the winners will play another wildcard game to gain the right to move on to thw semi-finals.
