here's an interesting situation. due to an archenemy kill, my opponent has about 150 more points then me. the only figures he has left are wildcards and a single mystic, six figures in all, all conveniently equalling one point more than what he is beating me by. they are all grouped together, all adopting mystic TA (of course) and all within 1-2 clicks of death. i have only a R psylocke and U arwyn left, so i use arwyn for an EE shot on the middle one, psylocke enhanced, and i kill all of his figures with one attack. unfortunately, all that mystic TA damage will kill arwyn - or will it? will i win the game before she dies (and thus "win" the game by points) or will my opponent get the extra 60 points or so from my arwyn before he loses? (in which case the points total will win him the LE bajounte-ka i had my heart set on! )
Well since your opponent is wiped out and you have R Psylocke on the board you win as the last player standing. If the hit in question knocked out all of his surviving figures and your final surviving figure, I believe that you will win as his figures are KO'd "before" yours is. Not 100% on that, But I believe that is how I heard a similar ruling at Philly...
Arwyn would indeed take one damage for *each* CrossGen (or facsimile) she damaged with that attack.
As for determining the winner... you can't "partially resolve" an action. You have to completely resolve any action, including the assessment of backlash damage. So you would gain the points for the cluster, but he would gain the points for Arwyn. Sorry.
Good Point Webtroll. We were overlooking the obvious.
I'd still like to know whether Arwyn only takes 1 damage from Mystics. I'm pretty sure I read a similar question before and the splash damage wouldn't cause the "retaliation".

That's not necessarily true -- but don't worry, I had to re-read his post a couple times before it made sense.
bryan88gt mentions that his opponent scored arch-enemy points. So, at the end of the battle, the scores look something like this:
bryan88gt = Opponent's Force (KO) + Psylocke (survivor)
Opponent = bryan88gt's Force (KO) + Arch-Enemy bonus
Assuming their forces were roughly equal in points, then it's settled by whether the Arch-Enemy figure was worth more points than Psylocke. Apparently this was the case.

Careful how you word that.
I took out a V. Dr. Fate and didn't take a click of damage for it.
Lots of Incapacitate, Poison, and Force Blast into walls.
Pushing damage, non-attack damage, and knockback damage stacks up quickly.
Well, none of those damage types are from attacks, so his statement still stands.
(Incap does not deal damage, being pushed does, Poison is not an attack, and knockback damage is not from an attack, it's from hitting a wall)
