this weekend at my local venue we are playing a 500 pt open tourney. the only stipulations are any teams you construct must be from the same team abilities or a group that has teamed up in a comic(keeping with the comic-book realism idea) and no medics. i was hoping to get some ideas from your 500 point teams that have won you a match or two.

I Personally would do a Defenders 500pt team It Works!

E) Dr Strange 71 pts. (Infinity Challenge)
U) Smart Hulk 149pts. (Critical Mass)
U) Silver Surfer 173pts. (Critical Mass)
LE) Patsy walker 37pts. (Ultimate)
E) Iceman 36pts. (X-Plosion)
V) Moon Knight 34pts. (Critical Mass)
Total= 500pts. Exactly

If Restricted rules apply swap out E) Dr. Strange for U) Moondragon.

Protect Patsy w/Surfer. His High Def + Patsy's Super Senses should keep her around for awhile so you could Psychic Blat for awhile.
If Fielding Strange push him once so as to get his Enhancement ability but first have him blast someone for 4 clix twice, push him a second time and add Telekinesis and Barrier. It will greatly Improve your success.
Iceman is used only for his taxi and Barrier which will be the only thing to stop Outwitters.
Moon Knight: Use stealth/willpower to get into range to Incapacitate.
Hulk= Hulk SMASH!!!

Notes: Moon Knight was in the Defenders from Issues 47-50
Moondragon was a member of the new Defenders.
Other Hero-clix that appeared in Defenders Comics: Hawkeye (official member issues 8-12), Daredevil (several guest appearances), Spider-man (same as Daredevil), Angel was a team member in the new Defenders and his girlfriend "Candy Southern" was the team leader of the New Defenders & Ghost-Rider issue #96.

Just because both the X-men(I would hope you could combine the X-men and Ultimates X-men) and Brotherhood both got big boosts I would probably go with one of them. Unless you can convince them to let the Avengers, Ultimates and SHIELD hang out together, I think they would make the perfect team up.
