Don't understand the 1/5 for Firelord at all. Invincible/Impervious with Power Cosmic (in a set with a fair amount of Outwit) over 8 clicks of good stats and flying seems pretty solid to me.

His actual realistic damage output will be about on par with 75 point characters in this set.
No, that isn't how longer dials with the best (un-Outwittable) reducers work. He will be on the map for much longer and has a long string of 11/4s and some form of move-and-attack on every click. He will do much more damage. Do you see why?
Twice the cost means he can expect to be attacked twice as often. Spending 150 on Firelord gets me 8 clicks of life, spending 150 on two UC Hulks would get me 14.
He has great range, that should let him beat a Hulk or Thing. But since he costs so much he needs to be able to beat both of them at the same time and then some. If Firelord tries to take on UC Hulk, UC Thing and a C Skrull at the same time I am not betting on Firelord.
I am still not seeing it with Dr. Doom. All l see is a terrible glass jaw a figure that SHOULD be able to take a hit. Yes, he has Mastermind, but the opening Pulse Wave will make you want to separate from your team.
Also, a lot of his tricks only work if you pull a Common Doom Bot.

8 clicks of life with some good, PROTECTED defenses (and everything else) versus 14 that could end up being vanilla.
There is outwit to be had in this set.
Only three characters can help against the PC TA here, if memory serves, and every one of them is limited (and two of them are going to be particularly hard to find).
I am not saying that my perfect team has a 150 point Firelord on it, but that is not a 1-shield figure, either.

I'm inclined to agree with you that he is not a 5-shield figure.
I probably give him at 95 and at 45, with an extra either way if you pull a Doombot or, preferably, two.
Too many other figures at that 40-50 point range to look at that low dial as a standout. I could maybe go , but no higher.
Much as I like that Dr Doom, limited is not his best environment, despite the opening RS/PW with 12 ATK. He can put in some work, I'm sure, but without a Doombot he's not even close to full potential. Still would maybe give him 3, MAYBE 4 shields.
ThisKlaw brings something extra to Frightful Four teams, and while there are other Klaws out there, only the ADW SR and the LE are in the discussion for being "better" in my opinion.
The former I would say is clearly better, but it also costs 35 points more, so it won't always be practical. The latter is 10 points cheaper, but isn't as tough... I would argue that this Klaw is more a direct upgrade of that LE than it is already irrelevant.
I didn't need a Klaw with something extra for the Frightful Four. It's true that he has his niche, but it's not distinct enough that I'd forego another Klaw option based on that alone. He really needed to hit a different point value- especially since his keywords have been exactly the same across all these versions!

They both share 6 keywords, but where this one adds Cabal, Doom 2099 brings SHIELD and future to the table. Cabal is not so major a keyword as to overcome the value of those two, and I would argue that SHIELD alone (58 MA dials listed in units, not including this set) has more value than Cabal (15 MA dials listed in units, not including this set) does.
Oh, and SHIELD has 7 figures, I think I counted, in this set compared to the Cabal's 2.
Again, this isn't even considering some of the other figures that have several solid keywords of their own, but this Doom simply can not get my vote because the other Doom does the keyword thing better.
You make a strong case that Doom probably would have accepted. For me, Cabal was an exciting keyword that, long-term, I feel Doom will contribute a lot to- whereas SHIELD is drowning in options.

He should have staying power on the map and he has a dial worth keeping there, whether he manages to squeeze any extra damage out of his energy explosion trick or not.
Thank you. *sideways glance at JRuff*

Perplex on her first two clicks and, while I am not paying 125 points for a support figure, the literal support she has could be worth spending an action on. 125 might not be cheap, but there are enough cheap, but still quality, figures in the set to build a good team around her. You are not necessarily having to make great sacrifice to fit her (or the full cost Firelord) onto your team.
She reminds me of Singularity, who also performed well in Sealed just due to a less-than-optimized field.

Sure, she has the 19D to open and free barrier tricks, but she doesn't share her D with her friends and the free barrier is limited. I mean, obviously she has to have a Fantastic friend for it to work at all, but then you are dealing with her 4 range as well which means that everyone is going to need to be packed tight. If you are playing some of the commons then that close formation stuff is useful, but how much value does that opening TK lose if she feels compelled to keep her Fantastic friends within her free barrier range? This one definitely has the offensive edge over the common, though. I would give her , but I am perfectly fine saving the 10 points, using the common, and looking for my offense elsewhere.
I am wary of relying too much on Defend. And most of the Fan. 4 have good defense values anyway. But I love both Sues. I expect both will see play.

As I said in the evidence thread when I coded this dial: It's amazing what 10 points can buy you these days. You both rated him and I won't argue with that. I don't know how any sane person could.
Point Breaker? I'd have to look ahead to review what all is left, but I won't argue with that, either.
Ben absolutely breaks the points bank. He's so efficient. Probably the best Ben in the set.
LOVING THE LOOK OF THE AWARDS TALLY!!! Personal thank you to you both for the format revisit, next level of engagement and commentary, and sticking with this and providing what I would consider a content highlight of this site.
