This dial isnt horrible imo, but its not very good either. On a figure thats 180 points The fact that the willpower only comes AFTER his 2 most useful clicks really hurts him in my opinion. He will take some finesse to play. Stick with the HSS or push to get into the willpower? Plus that fact that this guys attack values are horrible for his point value sucks too!
@stallion9769- Sorry but his HSS does not necessarily warrant his 2 most useful clix. Here are some reasons why 1. HSS cannot be used with RCE 2. You may have full movement, but that range is cut in half if you use a range attack 3. His first 2 clix of movement speed is LOWER than any other part of his dial. This is just 3 details. Also he starts with Invul which menas that if anyone can do at least 3 base damage to him they will hurt him. At least on his 3rd and 4th click he has impervious which gives him a chance to shrug off base damage altogether, on top of his SP, on TOP of perplex which allows him to boost his combat values at the right time he needs to (Defense when clearing; Attack, range or damage when attacking). I do agree with you that his AV is kinda bad for the points, and he is a finese piece indeed. But the first 2 clix being the best? I guess to each his own.
@Komixfrk75 the Fallen One was Galactus' first Herald before the Surfer (retcon). He wasn't powered by a portion of Galactus' Power Cosmic, but instead powered by dark/negative energy (not entirely clear on that part). It drove him mad and he started destroying stuff. For that he was imprisoned in a some form of Dyson sphere prison.
If he is supposed to be a herald of Galactus why doesn't he have Power Cosmic
I just checked out the Wiki on him. He was Galactus' first attempt at a servant and empowered him with dark energy instead of cosmic radiation. His special power "Dark Energy, Not Power Cosmic" makes sense.
Fallen One did ridiculously well for me in sealed. People scoff at his AV, but he had more consistent 10s than most other characters, which isn't bad, especially when you and your opponent are reaching the end of the dials. His defense is pretty great too, and makes him a tough cookie to crumble, plus his "Dark Energy, Not Power Cosmic" is pretty amazing, and really throws people off who aren't expecting it. He's a super pushable flyer who forces opponents to come to him. I like him a lot, and he surprised me with his versatility. He actually lived much longer than my Gladiator.
Really like this guy! Played him in a 300 pt sealed and was demolishing Thanos, Namor, and a skrull. All until I had just Thanos left on his last click and then somehow rolled 3 crit misses in a row which meant the end of me. This fig is definitely awesome especially for his white power through the rest of his dial.
Here’s another dude that just gets better with the rules changes, being positively affected by 3 of them. He can now take two actions in a row without pushing, he can now use RCE with hypersonic for an 11AV/5DaV from ranged, and gets the ability to pull tokens off himself once he hits the willpower clicks. Easily jumps up a star rating and becomes useable (even if not exactly point efficient) in today’s game (2021)
