Their insistence on differentiating JLI and Justice league as keywords is pretty frustrating given how infrequently the former gets used.
Really wish this guy just had the Justice League keyword and we could retire JLI and just let us build a JLI with the far more prevalent KW.
That's like saying X-Force, X-Men, X-Factor, etc should all have the "X-Men" keyword. JL and JLI aren't the same team, and they don't have the same members. For example, Guy Gardner is the Green Lantern on the JLI, whereas Hal Jordan is usually the Lantern on the main JL.
How much can you take, and keep moving forward?
The Green Lantern Corps is DC's version of the US Marine Corps.
While I agree it would be great to separate the groups into the ones they actually fell under, it's both a blurry target when it comes to Justice League and specifically the way WizKids executes it makes it all but useless, especially when you have just three modern DC sets.
Justice League as a title has been Justice League of America, JLA, Justice League, Justice League International, Justice League Europe, Justice League Dark, and several others I'm leaving out. Which of these teams are known as the Justice League vs. the Justice League of America vs. something else often blends together. Justice League International was Justice League for the first several issues and Max was there from the beginning.
If WizKids gave the JLI keyword out more frequently and consistently it would be different.
As it stands, there are precious few figures with the JLI keyword in modern and those include the Justice League China characters and Cyborg, who aren't really the characters people who want to field a JLI team are typically going to be thinking about.
Compare that with all the various X-Men figures who not only get the X-Force keyword, but X-Men and every other X-team they appeared in and it's not too much to ask for WK to simply give both an overall Justice League keyword when someone has been in multiple iterations of the team and then the specific team keyword as well.
Precisely. The JLU set was a great example of this as they gave Black Canary and Martian Manhunter JLI but failed to give it to Dr. Fate and Shazam. None of those characters were in JLI in the show so they should of given out to every character it could apply to instead of just a couple. As JLI fan I wish they would either use it consistently or give everyone JL so I can build comic accurate JLI teams. I can’t have OP kit Blue Beetle and Dr. Fate on the same team without breaking theme.
I am rather disturbed that this creates an alternate win condition and is not unique. Let's say you're running 6 of this. You could conceivably win in 4 turns. One activation turns on all of your Maxwells and you get 5 mission points. You could even just spend the extra 30 points on Suited Henchman to take the hits via Mastermind. Sure, this has some key weaknesses, but it's also pretty easy to see this taking unexpected wins without really playing the game. It's almost like UXM Mystique all over again with the silliness. More likely, you'd run a few copies of this with Onslaught. At least Onslaught can hold up in a fight. Onslaught with 3 Maxwells and a little support would be kind of scary. Multiples of him also get even more gross in higher point games.... and that's before we consider other figures that give mission points, like Uatu. This one has the highest chance of working by far. Just take a figure and damage with it. Freaking nuts.
I appreciate making alternate victory conditions. Most of the other characters kind of have mission points tacked on as a nice extra and it's difficult to abuse. I wouldn't mind this so much if it was unique. The other mission characters really shouldn't all be compatible with each other, though.
Non-binary. Please refer to me in "they/them" pronouns. Thank you.
His true power comes from his ability to destroy popular movie franchises with ridiculous story plots... Anyway he's your basic triple target mcer with some extra range and an outwit for only 45pts. Not a bad deal at all. I doubt you will ever see the mission points amount to anything though.
Ruler is the best keyword to build with ww80 pieces
Add a Gorilla Grood, to get 5 potential targets to mind control, and a lot of good options to generate sidekicks to use master mind.
Fun to play, hard to win with mission points, but with good MC Ko's you'll probaly be ahead on points in 50 minutes
