45 points, Wild card, solid attack numbers, Traited MC with a passive Incap effect, 7 range 3 targets, a stop click with ES/D, Super Senses, top loaded TK, Sidestep, and Leadership and Mastermind to keep him alive before resorting to the STOP. And a great generic keyword with Scientist. Dr. Psycho is a must-have and will absolutely double his worth in points whether in Draft or Constructed play.
Very good for 45 points. Triple target and all the ignores on targeting make him very dangerous. The stop click is very strong here too. With better def and stealth now rocking 12 attack he is an even bigger pain.
Often, when I see a character about Mind Control, I think one thing: is this better than Rat King? TMNT2 Rat King really is my gold standard for a piece about Mind Control. Sure, lots of other figures are better in other ways, but they also often carry other weaknesses. This guy... this is not about Mind Control, and yet it is. The named keywords are kind of hard to make good teams, though they've definitely gotten a lot of help lately. it's that Scientist keyword that makes him really shine. He's your standard Sidestep-TK that I always love at just the right value. Once he's done what he needs to do with that, oh look at the triple MC he gets to do! Sure, he only has a 10 attack, but he's targeting 3 things! It even incaps them when he's done, almost like he's reaching back to the very old days (yeah, very old rules made the MC'd characters get tokens afterward). That's a pretty nice risk-reward package. Higher risk for a high reward. The only way to defend yourself is by getting behind a wall, easily stopped. I kind of question that Mastermind ability, too. He gets more attack power as he takes damage, and his STOP click puts him at his best spot!
Rat King is probably better at single-target MC and utility, but Psycho still brings an amazing package of things for the cost. I think he's probably going to be on just about every Scientist team I make for a while.
