Unlike other characters who replace dice his doesn't say anything about removing the dice from his card when replacing.

Since my comment WK has errata'd it so you do remove his dice once used.

"Place" and "replace." At least the former has rules specifically attached to it.

Ok so, with the new rulebook, how would this work with say, rama tut's "finalized" probability? Would it still be able to be replaced?

Attack Roll
The attacker then rolls 2d6. Only one attack roll is made, regardless of the number of targets of the attack
Effects that allow dice to be rerolled or replaced are used during this step.Reroll effect must be used first, followed by effects that replace die, and then finally apply any effects that otherwise alter the attack roll (such as effects that increase or decrease the result).


12.2c
Finalized Attack Roll
Once all effects that alter the attack roll are applied, the attack roll is “finalized.”
A finalized attack roll can no longer be altered by any effect.

Since reroll effect (including PC) comes first according to the rulebook, the roll is finalized before anyone can replace a die.
