I kinda get that, but 'taking actions' and moving figures when not taking actions is such a big part of the game it feels like the rulebook would say something adjacent to the topic.
Honstly, the change to water terrain is Terrible. Before, pieces like Phoenix Namor,048 aquaman, or any other piece that makes water terrain, were so good because you could drastically change the battlefield, but now that everyone can swim as fast as they can run, they got drastically worse and team comps based on them are just dead. Hell, my entire collection was based around using water terrain to get a leg up, but now...it feels like playing an online game where you put all your skill points throughout the years into one stat, just to come out with an update saying half of what made that stat good is now gone. It's so dumb and it feels like I wasted so much time and money.
I felt this way about Indomitable. I purposefully collected Indomitable figures over the standard defense simply because I valued pushing my team every turn possible like a relentless steam train. Most of the time this meant that my figures had less clicks of life compared the their equal pointed counterparts. Now that the Indomitable figures can no longer use Willpower, and figures don't take pushing damage, my figures are far less suited to take on their similarly costed counterparts that have more clicks of life than I do.
Same thing for heavy objects. There's so few objects to begin with, and they can only be wielded by Super Strength characters (and no longer as a TK attack) that I don't see the point in a dumpster doing the same damage as a spatula.
Mind you, I am very excited about a lot of these changes. I believe this will be for the good of the game going forward as there are fewer rules to learn, but still a great amount of strategy. I simply wish that my years of commitment to certain team compositions and figures were still viable in their own unique ways.
