He's my favorite GL in comics, so I'm a little biased to him already. But man, does he play great on any team he's on! Earth's greatest GL won me a sealed tournament a few months ago. Mera flung him out and Guy wrecked house. My favorite part was when I TKed him right next to Superman. My opponent said "Are you sure you want to do that?". I said "Yes". Two turns later DC 75th Superman was as dead as his sculpt :devious:

Guy's opening click doesn't make it easy to decide what to do with him - should you move in and threaten a big target with his 4+EW but risk getting beaten up before you can act... or do you hang back and take shots while protected by his ES/D? I tend to prefer the latter, using the EW only as "discouragement" to keep bricks away. 110 points without reducers up front is a big gamble. Luckily, with Phasing and Indomitable, Guy is pretty good at evading problems and taking shots from range. When someone tags him, Flurry shows up (with a 3 au naturel or a BCF a-la-mode option) and suddenly the damage reducers appear. Sometimes that's enough to turn the late game around, but with a 15 defense, your opponent is likely to succeed at putting him away.

It's really easy to take his value in ranged combat for granted. Teleport into a good position with his 12 speed value, boast a 20 defense value in hindering terrain, and blast away with an 8 range value. Base him at your peril!
