When Thor025is adjacent toa character can he use the freeabikity that says do a range attack (call to lightening).
It does say make a range attack but two people say it makes no difference if he does a range against adjacent character
Thor does not have Improved Targeting: Adjacent, so he would not be able to make a range attack if adjacent to an opposing character, whether normally or through his Storm markers ability.

I've been playing this fig differently. I think position of Thor only matters that he is within range. The other criteria is opponent occupying space with marker. If these two things are true, you make a range attack. Range is only clarified so you know target gets to use ESD instead of Combat Reflexes.

11.2a Range Attacks While Adjacent to Opposing Characters
When making a range attack, you must first determine if the character making the range attack is adjacent to an opposing character. If so, the attack can’t be made.
The ability only gives an exception to the line of fire requirements, so the range attack cannot be made if adjacent to an opposing character.
