How does his special ability to make obscuring terrain work now that obscuring terrain doesn't exist?

Also, does his negative modifier to breakaway still work now that modifiers don't seem to be a thing with things plasticity, HHS, and leap climb?

All references of Obscuring Terrain are now Hindering Terrain via the recent Errata & Clarification.

It seems obscuring terrain now officially functions as hindering terrain. If I were a judge, I'd rule that you can just lay hindering terrain for the sake of ease. One could insist he places obscuring terrain markers, but as those now function as hindering it seems needlessly pedantic and potentially obfuscating.

The negative modifier thing... I have nothing for you on that.

There are still modifiers to breakaway.

GENERAL EFFECTS OF SIZE (PAC), NIMBLE (WWE) and REVERSAL (WWE) all still modify breakaway, until further notice.

I'm not sure if he would get BREAKAWAY +3 and opposing characters have BREAKAWAY -3 instead, due to change in Plasticity.

He clearly SHOULD get breakaway +3. Most issues can be fixed with simple Common Sense, and any good judge will rule in favor of the way the figure was meant to be played before changes.

If I were to make an educated guess on the updated wording of his power, it would be this:
“Plasticity. BREAKAWAY +1. Adjacent opposing characters get BREAKAWAY -1.”

This results in a similar function to the previous rules.

That's not what it says.


Knull isn't a printed map. It's obvious how his Smoke Cloud should be fixed, but officially, it hasn't been yet.

Knull is an obvious fix(that has yet to see an errata), but how the heck are they going to rule poor Absorbing Man?
