...so, I've compared this guy to the other 60 point Captains in this set and I have no clue how he ended up at this cost or design. As a representation of the character he's garbage (his stats in close combat are worse than both Johnny and Sue), as a heroclix dial it's middling to poor, and compared to the other captains he has so little use or functionality.
I'd be excited that he's finally get 8 click dials again, but this is the same set where Scott Lang ended up with a 9 click dial and both Johnny and Sue also got 8 click dials.
When will we actually get someone at WK who reads spider-man comics again?
"I remember you said to me once, you said... 'if death ever comes your way and won't let you pass... make sure you scream right back in his face"
Defend is a great power i wish they would use more, but not like this. How many 16def are there in the game and why is this later in the dial? You do get perplex which is nice but the real power is giving ALL sidekicks Super Senses which is just nuts. If you have a large sidekick team you kinda have to include him. Probably just play him at 40 and hide him somewhere.
Whoever designed this figure has never read a Spider-Man comic, or for that matter any comic. What a lazy, generic, and terrible dial. It's stuff like this that has made me seriously reduce the amount of product I purchase.
The 17/Defend isn't very helpful. Only the characters that have very short dials, in this set, have more than 1-2 clicks of <17 defense. And there are dozens that have none.
Even adding the carry ability would justified using this Spider-Man, but they could even do that. This is one of my favorite Spider-Man outfits, and he gets, not just a bad dial, but an unplayable one.
