The Asgardians of the Galaxy comic has launched! This is one comic I've been waiting for since I saw the announcement, as I was a great fan of the Fearless Defenders.

The issue 1 lineup can be made in HeroClix, but the point cost is somewhat beefy:

175 TMT 041a Destroyer

45 TMT 033 Throg

= 627 points

I can easily get this lineup to 562 points by dropping the chase Valkyrie to her lower point value (simulating Annabelle Riggs perhaps?) but that seems like a bad choice in a 600 point game.

There is a character "driving" the Destroyer armor, so by completely replacing a 175 point character with a lower-cost figure it is possible to get to a 500-point force build, but that will be for a future issue!

Any ideas on what to do with this lineup?

Thats the best "27" points you can shed. Downgrading Valkyrie loses you more IMO.

Otherwise drop Angela to her Battleworld 45pts and upgrade Thunderstrike to the Chase. However this breaks Theme Team.

Four years later...

With the pending release of Avengers: War of the Realms, it looks like what was once a 600+ point comic-accurate lineup will be closer to 400 points, and could even be a (keyword) "theme" team!

The obvious choices to get under 400 is to either swap in the WotR 100 point (prime) The Destroyer (possibly just keeping it on the sideline), or to make alternate choices involving Kid Loki (to leverage The Destroyer).
