TEAM UP: BISHOP, CALLISTO, EMMA FROST, ICEMAN, KITTY PRYDE, KATE PRYDE, PYRO: If 1+ listed friendly characters are on the map, Storm and listed friendly characters gain [Dolphin Symbol] and modify speed +2 if they occupy water terrain. If 4+ are on the map [...]
Does this mean that sideline characters with those names also get the dolphin symbol?
I'm asking because of Legacy Namor's affeL045 following power, and if they could be used in conjunction to both give, for instance a sidelined 40pt hx003b Bishop, a dolphin symbol and to generate him in game.
ALL OF THE OCEAN'S CREATURES BOW TO THE WILL OF THE KING OF ATLANTIS: Leadership. // POWER: Generate a standard character from your Sideline of 50pts or less that has the Dolphin symbol. This effect can only be used twice per game.
Thank you!

So here's a fun fact that I just found out while trying to answer this question. Turns out, based on the rules, that characters on your Sideline aren't friendly to your force. Let me quote the rules here (important parts bolded):

Some effects may change a game element from opposing to friendly. If that effect ends, the game element returns to being friendly to the force it was friendly to before the effect took place.
So it looks like the answer is "No, because Storm's effect looks for listed friendly characters and that does not include your sideline."
Note that characters on the Sideline are neither Friendly nor Opposing until they join a force, apparently. This really shouldn't work with SIDELINE ACTIVE traits that reference friendly or opposing characters though, so I wouldn't necessarily stand 100% behind this interpretation. I expect that the intention is that Sideline characters are, in fact, friendly to your force.
EDIT: For a better interpretation, these rules make me think that you can only include a character on your sideline for one specific effect. If you included that character on your Sideline to reference Storm's ability, you couldn't also reference them for Namor's ability:

A game element added to your sideline for a specific effect can’t be used for any other effect. It can only leave your Sideline, re-enter it, or be referenced in your sideline for that specific effect.
You may not use the powers or abilities of any game element that are in your sideline
(including effects that apply during force construction) unless an effect specifies
otherwise or has the SIDELINE ACTIVE keyphrase.

This is a much cleaner rules interpretation and one that I would stand behind 100%.
Thank you both for the question and answer. Been scheming with Legacy Namor as well, with Aquaman's JLU team-up cards. So this answers my questions too.
