Hey friends,
Question is as the title says. If something occurs at the end of my turn that triggers an effect that occurs “after resolutions,” can I still use that effect?
For example, say Green Widow moves via Aragorn’s epic action. Could she then make an attack via her special movement power?
Thanks!
"Let me put it this way. Have you ever heard of Plato? Aristotle? Socrates?"
As far as I can tell yes.
"After resolution" means after an action has been resolved. Since Greem Widow makes move action at the end of turn *(granted by Aragon's epic) and it is resolved, you can use an after-resolution effect.
If any of the sentences would make more sense if the verb (or any other word) was a negative please treat it as such.
A reason I might disagree is due to the following:
So the FREE move action Aragon gives could be used, but I’m not sure you could activate Widow’s ability through it.
Yeah, the trigger should probably fizzle.

You may be right, but consider the following:
As it is a result of a Leadership roll, Black Ant's first trait can only trigger at the beginning of a turn. However, it does not explicitly state that it happens at the beginning of a turn—only the trigger does. To me this seems to communicate that triggered effects can still happen at the beginning or end of the turn.
However, Black Ant's effect does not resolve after resolutions at the end of the turn so it is slightly different than my main question here.

Black Ant has been retired from Modern for awhile, with a major rules overhaul since. Not the best counter example.

True, but there are plenty of other characters since the 2021 rules update who have effects that trigger when a Leadership/Willpower roll is made where the effect does not specify the beginning of the turn. Here are two more examples off the top of my head:
"Let me put it this way. Have you ever heard of Plato? Aristotle? Socrates?"
This article is from the 2017 rules update, so it’s not up to date with the current Rulebook, but it indicates that you can no longer activate free actions during the beginning and end of turn phases. So Aragon’s effect would likely need to be reinterpreted as letting a character move during the end of turn phase, and that move would no longer be considered a MOVE or FREE action, so it wouldn’t trigger Green Widow’s effect.
This would be how I would rule it, but it’s a figure designed from at least two rule versions, so ask your local judge.
