MOVEMENT: Elevated WRAPPED IN SHADOWS: If Batman occupies Hindering Terrain or the edge of Elevated terrain, lines of fire from opposing characters cannot be drawn to him. THE WORLD'S GREATEST DETECTIVE: Outwit, Perplex. When Batman uses either to target an opposing character, roll a d6. 5-6: Give him a Clue token. // At the start of your turn, gain 1 Mission Point for each Clue token on Batman's dial. UTILITY BELT: If Batman has less than 2 Action Tokens at the start of your turn, choose one for Batman to gain until the start of your next turn: Force Blast or Smoke Cloud [MAX: 3] as FREE -or- FREE: Make a Close attack that deals no damage. Hit characters are given an action token.
Assorted Ramblings feel free to disregard this part: Been a hot minute since I've done anything on here. Been a hot minute since I've been able to do anything Heroclix related really lol. The local scene is pretty much nonexistent now, so it's been forever since I've even played. That said? I've really missed hanging around here. There are good friends I've made on here that I haven't gotten to talk with in forever.
So I'm hopping back in! Not sure it's my best work, not even sure how to really determine point costs anymore, but hey it's definitely a Batman dial lol.
Also, haven't had much of a chance to keep up with any comics for the last couple years. Just been too busy and for fun money has been going to other things. I've been thinking about picking up something from the big two again but have no idea what's going on with anyone recently other than apparently there's some guy named Paul at Marvel that everyone hates and Waller is or was doing Waller things for a bit. Any recommendations on good runs on the shelves right now?

Incapacitate is a passive effect; using it as FREE doesn't make sense.
May EE instead?
Ah you're right. This is what I mean by being out of it too long. EE fits with the other powers, but the idea was to choose 3 nondamaging abilities. The intent was being able to make an extra attack but only to give an action token instead of doing damage twice. I'll update it once I figure out the right wording. Thanks for catching that!
Edit: There we go. I think that gets the original intent across better!

Gotta say, I really like this dial. World’s Greatest Detective makes him dangerous as hell even without attacking, and he’s a damn good charger, ignoring elevation as he does.
Personally, I was fine with the old Incapacitate language, as it streamlines the language, even if the Wizkids legalese is a hair off.
As to recent comics… I don’t read as much new stuff as I should. Ghost Rider (2022) was an ok horror comic, as was the annual Crypt of Horror issue this year. I tried Werewolf by Night (2024), but these red band titles are somehow weaker than Max titles used to be, and it isn’t as scary or WWbN-focused as it could and should be.
Lol so I’m rereading Claremont’s Uncanny X-Men and all the Civil War-era Thunderbolts stuff because… well…
Old wording meant that if you give him a FREE, then he can use incapacitate until your next turn. Which is often welcome when you have multiple targets and/or Flurry.

Thanks! That was exactly the intent I had with World's Greatest Detective, so I'm glad it came across that way. It feels like Batman's detective nature plays second fiddle to being a super hero (both in game and in the comics), so I wanted to try and make a Batman who was dangerous from the shadows while still being a nightmare of a martial artist.
I'm trying to think back to the last ongoing I actually kept up with and I'm really drawing blanks. I guess it was Al Ewing's Venom run? So late 2021 early 2022. I eventually fell off on it too. It was well written as far as I read, I think I'm just tired of cosmic shenaniganary. Venom was at my favorite when it was a relatively street level comic about Eddie and the Symbiote working together to try and be better for Dylan.
I've actually had the current Iron Man stuff recommended to me a few times and was considering it, but billionaire saves the day isn't exactly the vibe I'm feeling right now. I also actually picked my Claremont collection back up yesterday haha. Seemed like the appropriate time considering yknow everything

Yeah, it still had use, but you'd still be paying an action just for the chance of maybe giving an action token and not dealing any damage which still doesn't feel very justifiable outside of low point figures, but that's just my personal take on Incap haha
