I suppose someone might try some goofiness using him and a ton of tie up figures but overall it seems like a really difficult strat to pull off. Getting to your opponents starting zone is not easy, the drones aren't even autonomous. Even his powers aren't really that great for his point cost, EE and enhance at 140? I'd be shocked if anyone opted for this guy over the insane one from CAAV for only 10pts more.

pulled this guy today and was reminded of how not cool this dial is. sculpt is great though!

Meta? No. But This dial can be fun, even competitive in your local scene. While the dial itself isn't the most flashy way to spend 140, it's really about the drones. By turn 2 you can have 3 drones out, all soaking up enhancement. It's a free and serious board threat that forces a choice on your opponent: go after him, or them. One way or another, your opponent will likely get punished the following turn. Dazzler from this set wpuld make them a 5dmg at range with a 7 range. Seems like fun to me!

Invincible being benched felt like a mistake at the time and them trying to make tentpole-y point sinks while dolling penetrating damage out to figures 1/5th their cost has only furthered that. The fact that this guy has ONE click of 4 damage before dropping to 3 just makes him feel weak above all else. With the ability to break reducers commonplace these days even without penetrating you need something to justify taking up this much of a build and i'm not sure this guy has that. Pumping out pogs is nice and all, but I'm not sure the pogs are worth 140 points to churn 1 (or maybe 2) out a turn considering they're not even autonomous.

His drones could be good mastermind fodder for many masters of evil too.

Are there any Ultron Drones in the game we can use for his Trait? i.e. on a token kit or generic from the set?

A chase vs. a SR & Goop would be surprised if someone used the SR? I sure as heck wouldn't. I might pick this up for like $9.00. The chase goes for like 4 times that amount. Nope, not surprising at all to me but I don't print my own money. LOL.
