I was wondering what are fun theme team to build. I like teams that all have swords or guns. But what are your favorite theme teams.

Personally, I mainly do Team Ability Theme Teams...
(I avoid mixing Alpha flight with Avengers though...)

One I'm working on now is the Brood....

Cheese theme teams, Ult. Thor with a medic and a bunch of con artists is the usual for this kind of theme team.

I made an awesoem Alphaflight team that took down a Thanos team and a Darksied team. Mostly it was a bout good rolls.

I like to build jla/batman theme teams. basically some of my favorite comic stories are when the jla or some other team has come againt some force ty couldn't handle and batman gets the call to win the day. Like in kingdome come when the jla is reformed but bruce doesn't want any part in it but in atuality he has his own plan/squad in the works for the threat they don't know about. I start every team with some version of batman and throw in characters he has worked with in the past. If I know that someone is bringing a kc superman/owaw supes team I think to myself, who would batman recruit to help out? Usually I pick shazam or kc wonder woman. If it's a galactus scenario, it's most likely going to be call on the big blue boyscout.

I usually play either X-men, Hydra, or Sinister Syndicate. Most recently has been Hydra as I have M.O.D.O.K. I'd love to play Brotherhood but they need to make some of their key members more powerful(i.e. Mystique, Avalanche, Blob, etc.).

Summers Clan Theme team (includes some great pieces, Ultimate Cyclops, Marvel Girl, Phoenix Ulitimates, Phoenix Xplosion, Black Queen, Cable, Domino, Havok, Polaris, Goblin Queen, Jean Grey IC/Universe, Cyclops IC/Universe, Trick Shot). Lots of damage, and tk, plus some outwit and probability, plus healing via the X-men TA or Vet Jean Grey

I also run a lot of Avengers teams and now Ultimates teams (with Shield Support). Then just ones that are themed on actual teams or team abilities (ie Synister Syndicate, MoE, FF, Doom, etc).
