Can anyone please explain to me how the LOS rules work for Giantman and Steel? I understand that Line of Fire to giant figs isn't blocked by standard characters, only I assume by other Giant characters, but, after that, I start to get a little confused.

The insert says that a giant figure "can attack and be attacked by characters that are grounded, on elevated terrain, or Soaring." Is that referring to him being adjacent to such figures and being attacked in close combat?

If instead it means that even figures several spaces back on a building have line of fire on him for ranged purposes, does that mean that no Outdoor Blocking terrain can hide him at all? Can non-elevated figures on the street below see him from over the other side of a building? What if he's standing on top of the building? Can Barrier block line of sight to him?

To make it simple, treat them as though they are on the same elevation as any fig to/from LOS is drawn.

Examples:
Steel to/from grounded fig: Blocking and Elevated terrain block.

Steel to/from Elevated or Soaring: No terrain blocks.

Now, add to this that normal figs never block LOS, and you're all set.

Make sense?

Elevated Blocking Terrain would block LOF to/from elevated figures.



Also keep in mind that, if Steel is herself on elevated terrain, grounded figures would treat her as an elevated figure, not grounded.

This raises an interesting question: does grounded blocking terrain block LOS from/to elevated Steel to/from grounded normal fig?

Yes, just as it would for any elevated figure to/from grounded figures.

What if Steel is standing on Elevated terrain 2 spaces from the edge of the building, so that there is one space of elevated terrain between her and a grounded character down on the street below? Neither he nor she have LOS to each other, but does Steel still count the grounded figure as adjacent for purposes of movement and close combat as in the rules insert? With Steel 2 spaces away on elevated terrain, does the grounded fig still have to make a breakaway roll?

Yes, they would be considered adjacent. Adjacency is not determined by LOF.

Stealth, for example. You can be adjacent without having LOF to that character.
