Can a hovering figure use a ranged attack against an enemy fig that isn't adjacent to them even if the attacking fig already has an enemy fig next to them?

Right now, yes (assuming they can draw a clear LOF). However, the updated rules coming out with DC Icons will change this, so enjoy it while you can.
Sure. or, heck: Everyone makes up their own house rules every game. This will add about an hour of arguing to start of every game, plus you'd prolly need to make a new team everywhere you play. And we're horribly off topic now, aren't we?
We need to do something about this now before everyone on the internet decides they have an opinion and get some kind of crazy idea that they must inform everyone of their opinion and how theirs' is superior to everyone elses'.

Man you got me so horribly confused. But serously since I don't buy DC clicks do I need to follow their rule changes?

Yeah, I was kidding. Wizkids does occasionally make things better. multiple ranged damage split &c. what they should do is have a full updated rulebook in .doc form at the website, instead of the stupid FAQ/Erratta things.

My understanding was that they're rolling a bunch of the FAQ into the Icons rulebook. If you're arguing that they should instead update the rulebook every time they would issue a FAQ, I'd argue:
1) That doesn't actually change anything; players would still be required to look things up online, and
2) I think it would actually be harder to find the new rules changes in the rulebook than it would be to find them in the FAQ itself (where they're put up front as well as in the body of the FAQ, and they're highlighted in red as well).
Now, if they were to update the rulebook more often, say... once a year

An Admin told me that I'm "too smart" for Another Realm. I hold that as a standing order.
A .doc would be printable, with a nice big fat index at the back, if you don't play one of the universes you wouldn't miss out on the new rules, new things could still be coloured if you really want (you can always edit a .doc), it could be used as a template for making whole books of house rules &c, and it would be free. A serious improvement over current system.

A serious improvement?
a) The .pdfs are printable.
b) You're asking for an index, which you hadn't mentioned before. Sure, an index would help out. (The FAQs are well organized in this regard, though, and currently don't need an index.)
c) If you don't play one of the Universes, I could say you're missing more than just the rules... Besides, you can get the rule book on the WizKids site just as you're proposing.
d) You can use the current .pdfs as a template, albeit not as easily as you could a .doc.
e) They're already free.
I don't see what you're suggesting as a serious improvement, but that may just be me. I'll give you support on the call for an index (which looks like it may not happen for awhile)...

Being a Marvel-Only player I say that I should be exempt from lame rule changes that come out in DC sets. That would be nice...
Marvel only. I was going to do that when I first started clix. Then I realized that DC has some really great clix, and that DC has the really, really big guns (KC etc) I was persuaded to buy both DC and Marvel. Now I have more DC than Marvel and I actually have the entire Indy REV set + 12 Indy Uniques. Playing only 1 universe just seems so limiting.
