I am fairly new to the game, I know quite a bit but am still learning.
1) can you use running shot and energy explosion charged with the umen?
2) when using nimrods pulse wave I realize it's a long range attack but can you use it if you are touching one player?
3) I have an ultimate Thor on the way what would you say is the best battle plan for him?
4) Is there any way to get around incapacitate with Stunning blow?
1) Yes.
2) Only if Nimrod is based by flier(s). A non-flier will shut down his option to do ranged combat since he is a non-flier.
3) Hit things for 5 damage. Always declare your two targets, roll to hit, and divvy up damage as suits you.
4) No. A damage reducer will be applied to SB's damage dealt before the token is assigned, however. It gets bad when a damage reducer is outwitted for a Stunning Blow. Then its bam! damage dealt into damage taken, a token for Incap, and possibly a click of pushing damage!
Can I get a few more opinions on the energy explosion thing? Today I used my Ultimate Iron Man and had my 3 umen already moved up the board. I ran my iron man up in the middle of the umen and attacked a group of people and basically did 8 damage all around, which basically pissed my opponent off and said that he wasn't 100% sure on that ruling. Also if I hit someone such as a medic with energy explosion and they took 4 damage, and someone with impervious, invulnerability, or toughness took the splash damage would they also take 4 damage or would the damage reducers come into play? Thanks again.

yes, the person with Invul/Imp/Tough would take four. The Splash damage is the same all the way around. Remember, timing is a factor. Since you have to use Perplex before and EE attack, the Perplex goes into effect, then Energy Explosion causes it all to go to 1 damage. Enhancement can be used at anytime, AFTER the Energy Explosion has caused the damage to go to 1. Yoiu just have to be in base contact with the enhancer when you fire off the shot.

Just to clarify one little thing here. K-ness is correct in that surrouding figures would be dealt 4 damage (assuming they were successfully hit by the EE attack roll), but damage reducers still apply. Unlike Pulse Wave, which specifies that all Powers are ignored, Toughness will reduce the 4 to 3, Invulnerability will reduce it to 2, and Impervious will reduce it to 2 or 0.
I am 99.9999% sure that was what K-ness meant in his answer, but I just wanted to head off any confusion.

It was, but I didn't specify. Thanks for the save.
Remember also, when factoring is a character was hit with splash from an EE attack, ES/D and Super Senses also come into play. For example... Jean and Cyclops are basing each other, and you have Boomerang target Cyclops with an energy explosion, roling an 8... Boomerang's attack of 8+8 = 16, enough to hit Cyclops' defense of 15, but not Jean's defense of 18 (16+2 from ES/D).
Now replace Jean with Blink. You will hit both, but Blink makes her Super Senses roll and is no longer considered hit.
Last, Stealth cannot prevent splash damage. Using the example above, replacing Blink with Domino and placing Domino in hndering. Boomerang targets Cyclops, getting the 16. The splash will still carry to Domino because she is not targeted by the attack but rather the splash damage. She still can roll for Super Senses, however.
