This came up in my game tonight and I thought I'd ask about it.
Can a HSS character with 0 damage do any damage during a HSA?
My V - Flash had his Damage reduced to 0 by Doc Ock's Perplex, but I wanted to make a HSA on Mystique.
HSS says that you deal damage for each successful attack, so lets say I make 4 successful attacks, could I get around the fact of having 0 Damage and apply 4 Damage as the rule states damage dealt is the amount of attacks, or am I just being crazy and you still need at least 1 damage to apply damage?

I hope this makes sense!
Thanks...
Doc Ock can not Perplex down Flashes damage. Well he can, but its basically a waste. On his turn he can Perplex down Flashes damage, but at the end of his turn the effect of Perplex ends. So at the start of your turn Flashes damage is 1 again.

First of all, your enemy can't Perplex your Damage down to 0..... Perplex is an "effect" that ends at the end of one's turn. Ex. I have Doc Ock. I Perplex my Defense up by 1. It ends at the end of my turn, so by my opponent's turn, it is gone.
So basically he is screwing you over because you get 1 damage again because Perplex doesn't "carry-over" until his next turn, it ends on the turn he used it.
Oh, I always thought that Perplex lasted until the players next turn.
Is that only outwit?
When you use Outwit that lasts until the beginning of your next turn or until the figure loses Outwit. The effects of Perplex end at the end of your turn.
Seems Ive been playing perplex wrong all this time... just goes to show that if you read thing properly by the 100th time you should get it... but i guess that why the realms are here also!

Okay, to answer your question -
Presuming that through some legal way (a new BFC, a scenario, etc) your Hypersonic character is lowered to a 0 damage and you decide to use HSS option 2, and succeeded with all of your hits and rolled no critical hits you could deal 3 damage. Option 2 is still limited by the rule of 3, so since you started at 0 that would mean 3 is as high as you could go without something adding to damage dealt (like a critical hit).

Actually, according to the PAC, your Damage is set at 1 once you declare the HSS(2) attack, which you can then modify up to 4 if your attacks are successful....

Or more, provided you started with an object and/or you continue to roll critical hits...
In my day, we didn't have Heroclix. If you were being attacked by Superman with a 3d dumpster, you just had to hope you could outrun him.
