Since AP always does a minimum 1 damage, even though exam. Nightcrawler would have his damage reduced to 0, he still gets the minimum 1?

IIF reduces damage dealt by 2. Armor piercing prevents damage delt from being reduces below 1, so yes nc would still do one damage.

Hmm... Off the top of my head, since both Armor Piercing (AP) and Intertial Interference Field (IIF) effect damage dealt, I'd have to say yes.

Just like Invulnerability would reduce the damage dealt to a character by 2, IIF reduces damage dealt from RS, Charge, or HSS by 2. We all know that AP will allow even a 1 damage figure to hurt an Invulnerable figure, so I do not see why AP wouldn't also work on IIF.

Does anyone else want to take a shot at this?

Gotta agree with NV. IIF says "reduce damage dealt by 2" and armor piercing says that "damage dealt by the character may not be reduced below 1". It doesn't specify any specific sources (ie powers, TAs, feats, or BFCs) so it applies to all effects that 'reduce damage'.

i realize this has already probably been answered before,.....

but what happens if Nebula does a double INC attack, with armor piercing. INC damage is reduced to 0, but the Armor Piercing card says damage cannot be reduced below 1. so if the attack succeeds, her 2 targets will be inc'ed and each take 1 damage, thru imp., inv. and tough.?

I'm assuming that Nebula has Stunning Blow on her... otherwise, Nebula would never deal damage with her Incapacitate.

In the case of Stunning Blow, since she has Armor Piercing, the damage cannot be reduced below 1.

I think I see what you are getting at now. Incapacitate damage is never reduced, but rather, when you use Incapacitate, your damage becomes zero. Since no reduction is involved (more of a replacement value), Armor Piercing cannot affect the power.
