Congrats! I knew a loooong time ago Frank would be the one to take me Doom out since I never did anything about his stealth. I'm glad I was able to do as much damage as I did before then (evil!). To be honest, if you missed Doom again in your 2 turns left I was going to blast off into soaring & take a powder! Not to be cheesy but I think it would have been totally in character.

This was an awesome game to watch. Very intense. Any time two big, tough teams come down to one man left on either side, it's a great fight. Very impressive on both sides - way to go.

Your team has really come a long way from their beginnings, WM. It's nice to see so many red-rings on the field after this Annual. V Dagger and V Punisher are just beastly pieces, and with the addition of some more outwit from ol' Black Panther you've got some great options at really economical prices. Should be much funage watching what comes next for the Knights.

As Frank stood over the armored figure he pulled out his empty clip to find he only had one fresh one remaining.

"Still one more than I needed," Frank said under his breath as he kicked the figure to see if it moved. It didn't, "Good."

From the roof above him he heard some clapping. Turning around and going to one knee Frank leveled his gun in that direction.

"Oh you got to be kidding me!"

The figure looking exactly like Dr. Doom stepped off the roof and hovered down to the ground, "Very impressive, Mr. Castle is it?"

"Who wants to know?" growled Frank as he looked around he saw what seemed other Doom look alike stepping off the roof to gather the enemies they had just encountered. He also noticed that the rest of the knights seemed to still be down.

"Come now Mr. Castle, after the impressive display you just put on it would be an injustice to yourself to play dumb. And you can put that weapon away the fight is over." The figure's expressionless face showed no emotion. He did look like Doom.

Frank clicked his gun to show he had no intension of putting it away, "I'm good like this actually."

"Typical," the armored figure shook his head. Looking behind Frank he was signaled that all of the troops had recovered their warriors. "It seems our time is at an end, for today." The Doom like figure gave a slight nod before activating a dial on his right gauntlet and he started to fade from view.

Frank moved so his back was to a wall and looked around as he scanned the area he noticed all of the downed enemies were gone. After a few moments to see if anyone was left he holstered his weapon and went to check on Spider-man who seemed to be getting up.

"Did anyone get the license plate of the tank that just ran over me?" moaned Spidey as he started to get up.

"Welcome back, sleep well?" asked Frank in his typically grumpy tone.

As he looked around he saw Cloak moving over to check on Dagger.

Spidey was trying to work out a kink in his neck, "No actually, I had this horrible dream that I was on patrol. Black Cat was there then every body started to show up with different reasons....................."

Frank looked at him with even more anger than normal.

".......and then his armored guy shows up ..................and, wait did that really happen?" Spidey said as the cob webs started to clear.

Frank started to walk away to check on Electra who was also starting to still, "Yup."

"Even the woman in the purple armor with the great big..................," Asked Spidey as he held his hands in front of his chest.

Black Cat had managed to wake up at this point as well, "Great big what?" she said with a teasing tone.

Spidey jumped around to face Cat leaving his hands in front of his chest for a second more than he would like before moving them to his right bicep, "MUSCLES! Er........... mean muscles. Of course I meant muscles."

Cat tilted her head with a look that said she didn't believe him

"Yup, muscles. Them were some big muscles." looking behind him, "Yeah I should go check on Moonknight."

Cat shrugged, "Her muscles weren't even real."

As Spider-man walked over to Spector he passed Natasha talking to Frank,

".............and then they just left. Don't make much sense to me."

Natasha thought about it for a moment, "That seems a bit unlike Dr Doom from what fies I've read on him. There must have been something else he was after."

Cage overheard the conversation, "Like a diversion?" Looking down he noticed the big holes in his shirt, "Oh come on! I liked this shirt."

Natasha didn't like what she was hearing, "Dagger, Cloak, sweep the area to see if they left anything behind. No one goes back to 'the place' or calls it by name until we are swept for bugs and tracking devises."

Spector had made it over to Natasha, "We should look into finding a way to authenticate communications in the future...........this could have been a lot worse."

Frank had already started to move out with Electra to check the debris to see if there were any clues as to why they were attacked.

Natasha very quietly under he breath, "It is worse...........Frank just saved our tails."
