At my venue the tournament is right after NGN, which means that everybody and their moms (perhaps literally) will be playing the new Superman. Given that, here is a place to post your supes or anti-supes team. Considering he only has 1 click of HSS it should be pretty easy to come up with a team to beat him.
I played with that Superman Today and againts him. We shuffled a new guy night tonight due to we mistakenly gave todays date to some parents to bring their kids about the new guy night. So I ended up teaching 3 kids (6~12 years old) a game or two on a three way battle. As soon as that is done then me and the older folks did the Scenario thing. We will still have the new guy night on the scheduled date. We basically will do two new guy nights.
Supes does have only one click of HSS but his defense goes from a 17 to a 16 which is not as bad to heal for an 8AV medic. I healed him twice in my game and defeated my opponent. What's cool about him is that his Batman team ability gave some of my wildcards Batman. He turns into a Thor type of character when he gets his first click.
The HSS of 10 movement is not really suprisingly good. If you compare Aurora, Northstar and Quicksilver to him he is not as mobile as those cheaper figure but he does have 2 arrows with 5 base damage and stealth.
His weakspot will be againts Mystics but being in stealth somebody has to base the guy. His 10 HSS sucks...Trust me on this. He does not have the same mobility as you want him to have. 10 HSS just does not fit in.
I played againts him and Sentry in one team againts my fun all archer team. Sentry has fortitude while Supes has the feat card that ignores RCE (something field). With all my RCEs I can't do carp againts Supes so I had to destroy Sentry first and only 4 guys remaining on my team and I incap Supes to death with Green Arrow. When he losses that HSS he is much easier to take down especially out of stealth.
Suggestion keep in him stealth all the time. His 10 movement does not help for positioning though. Vet Icons Supes is much better than him by far.

10 HSS isn't that bad with a long range. Nefaria and Amazo are pretty good, and they , like Supes have 10 HSS with 10 range.
I Think of it as Running Shot..... a much more versatile Running Shot.
Well, 10 is good if you have more than 1 click of HSS. This guy is still as supe up Thor with stealth and without the Superman Team ability though.
Try to play this Superman and you will see how shortcoming is the 10 HSS that you lose in one click but carry a medic behind you like Dr. Midnight and you will be gold.

LE Positron 82
V Black Widow (Ultimates) 59

Now granted that Fortitude will screw me, as well as good dice rolls in the early game, I like playing offensively from the beginning so all Mystics isn't as appealing as this team.
not trying to be competitive, just having a blast with the new guys, I was thinking for 300 pts to play:
a New Guy Night Theme:
NGN Supes
w/ Shellhead (I'm gonna have to push him somewhere dowm the dial)
w/ Proteced (keep that HSS as long as I can!)
w/ Unstoppable (it fits)
NGN Jessica Drew
299pts total
-or-
NGN Supes
R Legacy Batman (this is the Bat Ally Superman, right?)
296pts total
the second team would be fun to pit against one of favorite fun teams of R Icons Supes and E Icons Bats.
I plan on running KCGL if he gets her. otherwise I'll whup NGN supes with U Icons Flash, Armor piercing, and Armor wars. Superman really doesn't scare me much, as the way I play Supes isn't much of a problem. Superman is the team, my teams generally compliment each other nicely.(W/out perplex or TK most of the time.)
