what is up with the collateral damage map?? what is the brown outlined stuff??

That would be outside blocking terrain.

Outdoor blocking terrain. Functions similar to a barrier token.

i just found another thread on this. it is pretty much permanent barrier.

i just played on it tonight and we had issues. at least i was the one who got away with standing on top of the brown terrain.

All the colors are defined in the Icons instruction booklet.

The number of threads on this really surprises me, actually. I just assumed everyone knew about the key in the instructions... what did you all do on the first map from AW? Just guess what things were as you went through the game?

This is not meant as a slight or trying to flame; I really am curious. If you weren't aware of the key in the instructions, how did you play with the maps at all?

I think the question arises because the stuff inside the brown lines looks like stuff super-heros could stand on. I mean for hindering they can stand in fire.
