Come on man! Bucky WAS dead. It was a defining event in the history of Captain America. To bring him back, and then say he was never dead to begin with , discredits anything that Cap has done, while carrying the weight of his death around, and using it as a motivator. How could you view him never being dead, as better than the way Jason returned? It takes away from some of Cap's lore, just as making Gwen Stacey Norman Osborne's mistress takes away from from Spider-man.
And as was mentioned, what make you fo the return of Hawkeye? I 'm still waiting for the explanation on this one, as I'm in the camp that believes that he was never really dead to begin with.
Bucky's death... was death, I still hold out on the "cosmic cube theory" that he was displaced from an alternate universe. I know, it's insane.
The bit you mentioned about Hawkeye, dead on (pardon the pun) about which camp to be in.
Jason not being dead takes away from Bat's. They say it won't, but it does. That's just my opinion.
According to the final solicits, a dormant Captain Atom is a big part of the Battle for Bludhaven. I'm going to assume this is after he gets done giving a much needed schooling to the Authority and returns from Wildstorm.
