So, the end of Supergirl #7 has the Girl of Steel swappin spit with "Kal-El" in Kandor. Ol' Kal makes reference to him running with a "Syndicate" before he found his true destiny in Kandor. Makes me think this is Ultraman but my question is, who's the red head on the last panel, that refers to Kal as her son? Maxima? Lana Lang? Karrot Top? Anyone got the answer to this?
I believe that this Kal-El is the Kal-El that resulted from the arc in Superman/Batman where a few of the older Legionnaires come back from an alternate future and abduct Kal-El shortly after his rocket crashed and Bruce Wayne right after his parents were shot and raise them to be kings of the world.
Thus, the woman at the end, would be the alternate future version of Saturn Girl (thus, her costume).
However, as I try not to remember that particular arc, I could be almost entirely wrong.

That was the Absolute Power arc in Superman/Batman. But I was under the impression Saturn Girl was a blonde. Hmmm, well if this is the Kal from the Absolute Power arc, then Kara's tongue wrestling with her cousin....nice. She must have grown up in Southern Krypton.
From what I understand, Kara tongue-wrestling with her cousin was a common theme shortly after her original introduction as well.

I believe it was the Legion of Supervillains and not older Legionnaires that kidnaps and twisted the evil Superman/Batman? Though most/all the Legion of Supervillains roster seems to be relatives or evil 'copies' of the good Legion, they're just older.
in Wizard, they had a top ten list of sorts and it was about Supergirl and yeah, they had her tongue wrestling Superman, when she was disguised as "Mighty Maid".... I didn't notice, but maybe she was wearing a french maid's outfit and that drove Superman to get some of that sweet cousin lovin.
And, heck, in the previous Supergirl comic, that SG took the place of the real (post crisis) Kara for a short time and MARRIED Superman, and had his baby.
They should do an alt cover to the "marriage" issue. Providing it's Ultraman they can show him and kara at the chapel with a priest saying "-and Whomsoever objects......" With Ultraman thinking, "Finally I will bring Kal-el to his knees by marrying his cousin" and of course Superman rushing in yelling "Dont do it Kara he's not who you think he is, he's-"
With a title like "Superman, wedding Crasher!? Who is the mystery groom?!"
if you read this then you lost 10 seconds you'll never get back.
I am not familiar with the story line but the Evil counterpoint to Saturn Girl would be a red-headed Titan called Saturn Queen. She ran with Cosmic King and Lightning Lord.
Every relationship is fundamentally a power struggle, and the individual in power is whoever likes the other person less.
