I have recently heard about the comics on DVD like the 44 years of Fantastic Four collectors edition, 40 years of the X-men collectors edition, 40 years of Avengers collectors edition, and Ultimate X-men complete collection. Are these things really worth getting either by buying them or trying to trade for them on this forum (trying to trade for them would be the most likely scenario)? The idea sounds cool but I would like to hear from some people who own these things.

I would have listed the 40 years of Amazing Spider-man but there is a new one coming out this year that has the annuals with it. I was just wondering if they were worth picking up. I would love to hear from people who own them. I have heard that there is a water mark that is on the pages and does this hurt the readability of comics pages etc, etc? I just would like to get the info I need so I can make a well informed decision.

I can see the benefits, I will not have to hunt down all the issues of Fantastic Four, Uncanny X-men, and Avengers. All the issues are easily stored on 1 little DVD , instead of taking up storage space.

Just wondering and I invite anyone to voice their opinion on these collector's editions. Oh yeah, I sure hope I got this on the right forum!!! My apologies if I did not!
