Am I the only dumbass that's reading annihilation these days?
Seriously, screw the plothole-filled civil war. Annihilation is where it's at, baby!
Nova #4- Rated 9
Quasar and Nova go head to head with the Annihilation fleet, and Drax directs them to go for Annihilus himself! Annihilus preps his control rod and just sucks Quasar up, gaining the power of his quantum bands. So there's 1 cool superhero dead and gone.... Nova and the Worldmind formulate a plan in an instant (due to Richard's cue for the Worldmind to start integrating thoughts instead of constantly #####ing at him), and cause a command to be sent down for all Annihilation ships to fire upon themselves. Due to the way it was sent down, Annihilus can't belay the order, and can only issue an order for them to self-destruct.
Richard gets away, and Drax picks him up. Nova asks Drax to teach him how to destroy.
All four of the main lead-ins to annihilation have been great (well, okay, Rohan isn't the greatest), and I advise people to start reading Annihilation when it comes out. There are MUCH bigger events going on in the cosmos right now. Galactus turning Surfer into an engine of destruction, and his new herald. Thanos plotting, as always (and I'm willing to bet that we're going to see some Infinity Gauntlet in play....). Annihilus hunting down those with the power cosmic. Tenebrous and Aegis hunting down Galactus. Nova with the Worldmind inside of him, tearing it up. Super Skrull waging his own war against Annihilus (and I'd bet money on his appearing again later). And Rohan doing....well......I dunno.....what the hell is he doing? Fighting girls......k....right.
Seriously, Annihilation, guys.

The only thing that heppened in the FF books was that someone, Thor obviously, was able to lift the hammer of Thor. The anti-climax thing that happened with Pym would never happen here. This is after all a big reveal, I don't think Marvel will screw this up.
Then, you're not reading the same Marvel I've been reading for the past 5-6 years.
And, as to whether or not Thor is Pro-Registration, let's do a quick recap:
Pg 16, Panel 2: SHIELD Control (presumably Maria Hill) radios to the SHIELD choppers "Control to Airborne: Do not get involved unless perimeter is breached. 'Codename Lightning' is up next. Repeat, hold your fire until Iron Man gives the go-ahead.
Page 20, Panel 1: Tony is wailing on Cap.
Page 20, Panel 2: Herc shouts "Out of my way ..." and charges in to save Cap.
Page 20, Panel 3: Herc shouts "HOLD ON, CAPTAIN! I'M COMING!" and blows past She-Hulk and Spider-Man on his way to the battle.
Page 20, Panel 4: Maria Hill is advised that more 'Cape Killers' are available, to assist Iron Man with Cap and, presumably, Herc. She responds "Hold them on standby. 'Codename Lightning' has first pass at this ..."
Page 21, Panel 1: Herc is taken out of the fight with a huge bolt of lightning.
Page 21, Panel 2: Luke Cage, Dagger, and Hawkeye see what happened.
Page 21, Panel 3: Luke Cage, Dagger, and Hawkeye are taken out of the fight with huge bolts of lighting.
Page 21, Panel 4: DareDevil and Cable see what they're up against ...
Page 22: Thor.
I'm not sure what lines you seem to think that every isn't reading between, but it's pretty clear who that is supposed to be and which side he's supposed to be on.

Yeah, I'd say it's fairly obvious. Maybe too obvious.
While we're on the subject of Thor... anyone know what happened to Eric Masterson's mace, Thunderstrike ? I mean, Eric died, the mace disappeared. What happened? I don't know. I know in the Spider-Girl universe, Eric's son has it, but that's about all I know.

Don't get too stressed about no one reading Annihaltion Thawmus, the last two weeks have given us threads devoted to the wrap ups of each of the mini series so there are people reading. I too wish there were people reading it though.
And I don't quite understand the confusion on what side Thor is on either. I supose he could switch later, but right now he's pro-reg all the way.
I stand corrected, I glanced through Civil War 3, because I planned on reading it last after Annihilation and I only saw the part where Maria Hill mentioned Codename Lightning has first pass, I thought it meant that they have to see what will happen next as they are not sure what Thor would do. Now that I read it, I agree with you guys. Page 16, with the radio correspondence by Hill and the SHIELD chopper certainly confirmed it that Thor was pro-reg.

As for the Luke Cage story in New Avengers, it's not about the decision its about WHY Luke chose to be in the anti-reg side despite that fact that he is newly married and a new father. I for one, would like to know why he chose to be with Cap when everything points that he should be with Tony
Because Logan laid things out in a fashion that Luke could understand.

Maybe the gov't has something on him to blackmail him with. Like the hints given a long time back in a Spider-Man tale, involving the tailor who mentioned the kinds of mag's Thor likes to read... hinting at his hammer maybe swinging more one way then the other.
So, who knows? Maybe the Gov't has a pic of Thor in the Avengers shower with Tony Stark getting a little to sudsy.
