Well I haven't read the issue yet but I like the inclusion of the lesser powered heroes myself. I think it is really cool that Black Lightning is on the team, although my only complain per se is that Hawkgirl is on the team. I'm not a big fan of hers but that's okay since Roy's on the team and so is Vixen. I think this series has potential, especially if this version of the team can hang around for several issues before inevitably swapping out some of its members.
My hope though is that when they swap out some people that they don't swap everyone at a time. for example, since i'm not big on Hawkgirl, maybe Maxima could take her place for a while. Maybe Metamorpho could swap out with Vixen from time to time.
I think it's cool and look forward to reading it.
Didn't Maxima die in OWAW?

As for Wonder Woman, it's all about forgiveness. Essentially the heroes were in a state of war, and her actions in killing Max Lord have to be viewed in that context. He posed too big a threat to not be taken out, and there was no reasonable way to make him stop mind controlling the more powerful members of the super hero community. Diana made a choice, and though Batman and Superman do not believe in what she did (nor do they condone it) they realize that in order for the world to regain some form of order, they must set aside their personal feeelings for the good of the order. That means being forgiving, and trusting that your friends have learned from their mistakes, and build upon that.
Plus, the World Court ruled it as self-defense so there aren't any charges against her that the public should object to. Brother Eye's broadcast was just propaganda: a two second clip of her killing Max without the context of a mind controled Superman about to kill her before being used for more evil deeds.
Didn't realize Maxima was dead. I was just using her as an example. Okay, how about instead of Maxima, Zauriel replaces Hawkgirl at some point? I know he's still alive.

Zauriel would've been a great re-addition.

Actually Zauriel would need to be reborn and sent back to Earth again as he was one of the "fatalities" (or as much as one of his status can be) during Infinite Crisis.

It's been stated before that when he "dies" in this area of existence he basically just pulls the old D&D stunt of being "banished" back to Heaven to reform until God sends him back down again. Guess he got a quick-pass this time.

The only interesting interaction I see happening is between Roy and Black Canary. Roy; "Wow, how did you stay with Ollie so long?" after some inane occurance.
It should be a more interesting dynamic then you think... I believe in the early days of BoP, it was made clear that Roy and Dinah "had relations". Kind of gives a whole new meaning to "thats not how your father does it."
Every relationship is fundamentally a power struggle, and the individual in power is whoever likes the other person less.
