I was playing with my Baron Strucker, with my Vet Rhino adjacent (he has impervious), and my Baron was hit. I used mastermind to pass it on to Rhino, and I tried use my impervious but was told that I couldn't. Is this True?

If the damage dealt was from Psychic Blast, Exploit Weakness, or anything that deals "penetrating" damage (was written out in the fashion of "this damage may not be reduced" before Danger Room), you do not roll for impervious. Otherwise, Toughness, Invulnerability, Impervious, et cetera, works as normal.

A side note: "Unavoidable" damage cannot be Mastermind down to another character.

However, there is another problem with this scenario. Baron Strucker is only 74 points. Depending which Veteran Rhino you are talking about, he is either 122 (Critical Mass) or 95 (Sinister). Either way, this is not allowed. Mastermind only allows you to pass the damage from an attack down to a character with a less point value than the character with Mastermind. Since both Rhinos cost more, that move was illegal.
