I don't think Baron Mordo is overlooked simply because of Dr. Strange...His dial seems to be lacking for a 101 point character.
First off, he only starts with a 15 defense and ESD...his two clicks of Toughness even make it impossible to put Force Field on him. A single attack of 3 damage knocks him off all his support powers and a measly 14 defense and 2 damage...There is a very good chance you will never see that Probability Control in alot of games.
He just isn't laid out very efficiently and I'm not quite sure where all his points go.
Heroclix 5th Anniversary: Expect Nothing...you won't be as disappointed that way.

That's why you slap protected on him (to keep him from getting knocked past all the good stuff), keep him in hindering terrain (to make him an 18 DV at range... and puts him in Stealth if he is hit), and have lots of little tie-up pieces to prevent anyone from getting close
He is certainly not tent pole material, but he can get the job done if played with the right team.
I'm hapy to see the themed team as well. depending on the point value I'd look at throwing in Nightmare as a companion big boogedy and possibly use N'astirh, Sauron, The Demon/Etrigan, Hecate, maybe even Hellboy as summons. I like the Brood and Morlocks as fodder. Morlocks scream "I'm random demons", and are nice for a N'astirh/Goblin Queen/Goblin Princess theme team.
Now, who would be a good theme opposing team? Obviously Dr. Strange, but who else would fit? Go old school defenders with Hulk, Namor and Surfer?
I love using the little guys as tie up pieces, and having the Brood to fly them around. A lot of folks make the mistake of just running generics up onto an opposing figure, then they can't get out of the way when you need to take a shot. Really well thought out.

Yeah, the Defenders would be a very logical choice. Not to mention at the point total you'd need to fit Dormammu, Mordo, Nightmare, et al., you'd easily be able to fit the Big Four (Surfer, Hulk, Namor, Strange) with maybe a little bit of back up (mostly depending on which version of the Hulk you use).

I'd like to have an all mystical team for Strange, but there really aren't that many options. He mostly dealt with things alone or with a couple of helpers, none of whom we have in clix yet (Clea, Wong, Rintrah). Granted, he also usually only faces one or maybe two of his main enemies (like facing Mordo only to find Dormammu is behind him backing him, etc.). I think a nice Dormammu/Umar team vs. the four original Defenders like in the recent miniseries would be fun.
Man, this makes me want to finally finish my Mindless Ones conversion project and really write up the scenario.
