I like figures that have a bunch of different options, and Dr. Light is a man of many talents.
Most of the time you'll probably want to just blast away at his enemies for massive damage, but there's also Incapacitate in there in case you need to slow someone down.
He's also one of the best candidates for Vendetta, and Stunning Blow is another great choice.
I like figures with options. Dr. Light's vet is one such figure. Conceivably, you could feat the carp out of him. Trick Shot, Force Field, Stunning Blow, Nova Blast all are viable options for him. Throw in good numbers, range, and the fact that he's a Wildcard and he's almost golden. He'd be golden, if WK remembered that he flew.
Playwise: Awesome. You could put a crapload of feats on him, but all you really need is Trick Shot and an ally with Suicide Squad...Dr. Light rocks the house.
Accuracy: Not so great. He oughta fly and have phasing, but otherwise he's pretty spiffy.
He's a great figure if you can keep him at range and the wildcard ta is an added bonus.
Unfortunately, Seth seems to have forgotten that Dr. Light can fly and teleport (which would have made the figure much better with all the RCE and the ability to get away from melee). Add forcefield to him to get his toughness closer to what it is in the comics.
At first glance, without any move and attack and with only 7 clicks and no damage evasion or reduction, he seems a bit too costly at 84 points... but believe me, thanks in large part to his WC, he totally earns it.
His ability to do 5 damage from 10 range from stealth is crucial. Borrow 19DV from Sue Storm and he can either stay in stealth or have a nice and handy 21 DV from range.
He's excellent for stunning blow and for trick shot (though Trick Shot's not ultimately necessary as he can just mimic Ultimates with a 49 point investment in Wasp).
All around, regardless of the 2 handed stop in the name of love pose, one of my favorite WC figures in the game. He takes some strategy to pull off, but played properly, he's devastating.
Don't you love it when old golden age REVs can still raise eye brows in modern games? Stealth with batman ally and he is dealing 5 damage from 10 spaces away. Its insane how good this guys first click is. 19 defense from range? Please let your opponents laugh when you pull him out. A dash of superman enemy TA and he's dealing 5 penetrating. Unbelievable ....he's also pretty hard to find. I just recently found one in stock and I bought him in an instant. A true hidden gem, a diamond in the rough.
